1. Competition Organiser
1.1 This Competition is run by Bolt Services UK Limited (a company registered in the United Kingdom, with company number 11063356), operating under the trade name 'Bolt' ("Bolt").
1.2 For general questions arising out of these Competition T&Cs (defined below) and/or related to this Competition, please contact Bolt at London@Bolt.eu.
2. General
2.1 The Competition will run from 12:00am BST on 03 June 2021 ("Opening Date") to 11:59pm BST on 1st July 2021 ("Closing Date"). The period from the Opening Date until the Closing Date is hereinafter referred to as the “Competition Period”.
3. How to participate
3.1 All Bolt drivers who have entered into an agreement with Bolt (“Drivers”), who comply with the General Terms for Drivers (”Driver Terms”), the terms of the Competition (“Competition T&Cs”) and who will receive Tickets (as defined below) in accordance with Clause 3.2, will automatically participate in the Competition.
3.2 The Drivers who comply with the following requirements, will receive entries to the Competition (hereinafter a single entry referred to as the “Ticket” and multiple entries as the “Tickets”).
3.3 Each new driver who attends the Bolt Hub at Leather Market, Unit J, Taper Studios, 175 Long Lane, London, SE1 4GT (or any other address as communicated by Bolt from time to time) (“Bolt Hub”) who successfully activates as a new Driver on the Bolt Driver App and completes their first journey in accordance with the Driver Terms during the Competition Period will be rewarded with 11 tickets (when completed by 11:59pm BST 9th June 2021). From 10th June 2021 to 11:59pm BST 1st July new drivers will be eligible for 10 tickets under clause 3.2.1. For the sake of clarity, it is only possible for Drivers to receive 11 tickets (if completed by 11:59pm BST 9th June 2021) or 10 tickets if completed from 10th June until end of the Competition Period under this Clause 3.2.1.
3.4 Each Driver who completes 10 journeys in a week in accordance with the Driver Terms during the Competition Period (applicable during each calendar week between 3rd June 2021 and 1st July 2021) will be rewarded with 3 tickets. For the sake of clarity, it is possible for Drivers to receive 3 tickets per calendar week that the competition is held under this Clause 3.2.2.
3.5 Each Driver who refers one or more new drivers who successfully activate as a Driver on the Bolt Driver App using the Driver’s referral code and take their first journey in accordance with the Driver Terms during the Competition Period will be rewarded with 2 tickets on each occasion. For the sake of clarity, it is possible for Drivers to receive an unlimited number of tickets under this Clause 3.2.3.
3.6 A Driver who has not completed any trips since 1st March 2021 and has their Bolt driver account blocked due to expired documentation and is able to successfully un-block their Bolt Driver App account in accordance with Bolt Driver Terms during the Competition Period and successfully complete 1 Bolt journey by 11:59 PM 1st July 2021 will be rewarded with 1 Ticket.
3.7 No purchase necessary. All Competition entries received after, or which rely on eligible drives taking place after the Competition Period are automatically disqualified.
3.8 Bolt will not accept responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Entrants must meet the eligibility requirements. Failure to meet the eligibility requirements will result in an entry being invalid and/or forfeiture of the Prize (defined below).
4.2 The Competition is only open to Drivers licensed as private hire drivers in London or the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead who are residents in the United Kingdom, except:
4.2.1 employees of Bolt or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.2.2 employees of agents or suppliers of Bolt or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or
4.2.3 members of the immediate families or households of 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 above.
4.3 Bolt will not accept Competition entries that are:
4.3.1 automatically generated by computer; or
4.3.2 completed by third parties or in bulk.
4.4 Bolt may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition. Any Drivers or journeys which are in breach of the Driver Terms will be disqualified. Please see https://bolt.eu/en-gb/legal/gb/terms-for-drivers/ for a copy of the Driver Terms.
4.5 Bolt reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition.
5. Winner and Prize
5.1 There will be 1 winner who receives the Kia e-Niro grand prize (the “Prize”).
5.2 The Winners will be chosen at random by an independent judge nominated by Bolt on 7th July 2021.
5.3 The decision of Bolt is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
5.4 Bolt will contact the Winners personally as soon as practicable after 7th July 2021 using the telephone number or email address provided at the time of activation or as updated in the Bolt Driver App. It is the Winner's responsibility to ensure that their details are up to date. If a Winner cannot be reached within 2 business days, the winning will be cancelled, and a new Winner chosen at random by an independent judge nominated by Bolt. The Prize will be handed over to the determined winner on a date agreed by both parties acting reasonably.
5.5 The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on the Winner’s behalf.
5.6 The Winner must ensure the Prize is: (i) registered in the Winner’s name; (ii) taxed (if applicable); and (iii) insured, from when the Winner takes ownership of the Prize and before the Winner departs the agreed drop off location. For the sake of clarity, insurance is not included and the Winner must arrange their own insurance before collecting the Prize.
5.7 All running costs associated with the Prize are the responsibility of the Winner from the date and time they receive the Prize.
5.8 The Prize is non-transferable or exchangeable.
6. Limitation of liability
6.1 Nothing in these Competition T&Cs limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude and liability to the extent that it cannot be legally limited or excluded by law, for death or personal injury arising out of its negligence, and for losses suffered as a result of a party's fraud or fraudulent statement.
6.2 Subject to the limitations above, Bolt excludes from these Competition T&Cs: (a) all conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, general law or custom; (b) all liability whether arising in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise, for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits); (c) all liability whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, without limitation, the following: (i) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Bolt's control); (ii) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) any entry or claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Bolt) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Bolt; (iv) any tax implications; (v) any variation in reward value to that stated in these Competition T&Cs; (vi) any tax liability incurred by a successful claimant or entrant; and/or (vii) the Prize or use of the Prize.
7. Data protection and publicity
7.1 Bolt will only process your personal information as set out at https://bolt.eu/en-gb/legal/gb/terms-for-drivers/
7.2 By accepting the Prize, the Winner consents to the Competition T&Cs and Bolt publishing or making available his/her name, likeness, image and/ or voice (including photograph and video recording of the same) and county in Bolt’s website and any other marketing channels, including social media channels and newsletters. Bolt may be required to provide the winner’s information and winning entry to a regulatory authority on request.
7.3 It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form to be determined by Bolt in its absolute discretion.
8. General
8.1 Bolt reserves the right to disqualify any Driver from the Competition at its own discretion or if evidence of abuse or fraud is found. In the event of any dispute, Bolt’s decision will be considered full and final.
8.2 Bolt reserves the right to change the Competition T&Cs at any time and it is the Driver's responsibility to check for changes and updates.
8.3 Bolt reserves the right to modify, alter, discontinue or terminate this Competition at any time for any reason.
8.4 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Competition T&Cs, Bolt may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.
8.5 Bolt reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
8.6 These Competition T&Cs will be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
