Managing accounts

This article includes information about adding, deactivating, removing and editing accounts. Find the instructions for managing the relevant accounts below:

Managing user accounts

Users are employees who, after adding them to the dashboard, will have access to the company’s business payment method in their app.

Adding new accounts

There is a possibility to either add one user or import several users at once.

To add new employees to the account:

  • Open the People tab from the left menu in the Company Dashboard
  • Click on Users
  • Click on the Add button and choose to:
    • Import people in bulk from a spreadsheet (downloadable template available in the dashboard)
    • Fill out the details and add a person individually
    • Add people by inviting them via email

When adding new users, please ensure to:

  • Choose the correct country prefix for the phone number (e.g. +44 for the United Kingdom)
  • Select a group in which you want the user to be. By default, new users will join the general group
  • Insert the exact phone number the user has their Bolt account connected to.

Note: If you are adding a new user with a company number but their Bolt account is connected to their personal number, they need to create a new Bolt account with the company number. Alternatively, you can use their personal number to add their account to the dashboard.

Deactivating and removing accounts

You can either temporarily deactivate or permanently remove users from your Business account.

To deactivate an employee in the Company Dashboard:

  • Go to Users in the People tab
  • Click on the account you want to deactivate
  • Use the green slider to deactivate their account. Deactivated users won’t have access to the company’s business payment method.
  • You can also reactivate a deactivated user using the same slider.

To permanently remove a user from your business account:

  • Go to Users in the People tab
  • Select the user(s) you want to delete by ticking the relevant checkbox
  • Click on the trash can icon to remove the account(s).

Deleted users won’t have access to the company’s payment method.

Editing account information

To edit the account details:

  • Go to Users in the People tab
  • Click on the account you wish to edit and make the necessary changes.

You can pause or restart Bolt service access, assign people in different groups, or change names and emails in bulk:

  • Go to Users in the People tab
  • Click on the Bulk manage button
  • Make the necessary changes in a spreadsheet and re-upload the file to your account.

Managing administrator and agent accounts

Administrators are people who manage the Business account and have access to the Company Dashboard. Agents, designated by admins, are people who can arrange rides for the company through Ride Booker.

Adding new accounts

To add a new administrator or agent:

  • Open the People tab from the left menu in the Company Dashboard
  • Click Administrators or Agents
  • Click on the green button in the top right corner to fill out the details and add a new account
Deactivating accounts

To deactivate an administrator or agent:

  • Go to Administrators or Agents in the People tab
  • Click on the account you want to deactivate
  • Use the green slider to deactivate their account
  • You can also reactivate a deactivated account using the same slider.
