What Are the Requirements?

To apply for a Passenger (P) Endorsement, you must meet several requirements related to your driving experience, background, and health.

Hold a full NZ car licence (Class 1) for at least 2 years (overseas licences do not count, but exemptions may apply)
Pass a fit and proper person check (driving offences, criminal history, and complaints are reviewed)
Provide certified police documents if you have lived overseas for 12+ months since age 14
Submit a medical certificate from your doctor (NZTA form) confirming you are fit to drive commercially
