Transport Service License (TSL): Legally Operate as a Rideshare Driver
A Small Passenger Service Licence (SPSL) is a licence held by operators of a passenger service. Bolt has this licence, so you can drive with Bolt without getting your own. A Transport Service Licence (TSL) label is the label on the bottom left corner of your windshield. It shows that your vehicle is approved for passenger services in New Zealand. Up to 10 working days.
How to get started
If you don’t have an SPSL licence, no worries! You can apply for a TSL label under Bolt's SPSL through the driver application below. Alternatively, if you have your own SPSL licence, you can use it to generate a TSL label.
Placing Your TSL Label
If you’ve received your TSL label, it must be placed inside your windscreen on the bottom-left (passenger side), in line with NZTA requirements. Make sure it’s clearly visible from the outside.
