To add a new vehicle to your driver profile, you can do so in the Bolt Driver app. Follow the steps below to submit your vehicle details and documents.

Vehicle requirements

Before you start, make sure your vehicle meets the criteria below, and that you have the documents ready:

Vehicle age: 10 years old or newer

Registration: A valid car registration document (Istimara)

Insurance: A valid insurance policy for the vehicle

Inspection: A valid periodic motor vehicle inspection (MVPI)

Authorisation: If you don't own the car, you must have official authorisation to use it.

Step-by-step in the app

1. Log in to the Bolt Driver App 2. Open Help 3. Select Manage Vehicles 4. Tap Add New Car 5. Enter the registration plate number, and tap Continue 6. Fill in the vehicle details (make, model, year, colour, etc.) 7. Tap Next 8. Upload clear photos of the required documents 9. Review your details, and tap Confirm

Approval timeline

After you submit your request, Bolt will review your documents. If everything is clear and valid, the vehicle is typically linked to your profile within 48 hours. You’ll receive a notification once it’s approved and ready to use.
