The English category allows drivers in Saudi Arabia to receive trips from riders who prefer to communicate in English, such as tourists, expatriates, and business travellers. English category fares may be higher than in the standard category — in many cases, similar to those in Comfort. NB There is no car quality differentiation for this category. Access is based on English proficiency.

How to join

You’ll need to pass a short English proficiency test first: The test checks your ability to communicate clearly in English during trips.

After you submit the test, it will be reviewed within 3 working days

If you pass, the English Category will be added to your profile within 3 working days

Important

The English category recognises clear communication and helps match you with riders who value English-language support.

If you’ve taken the test before and didn’t pass, you must wait 4 months before retaking it

Tests submitted before the waiting period ends will not be reviewed

After you’re added to the category, rider feedback will continue to be monitored

If feedback consistently shows that English communication is not sufficient, access to the English category may be removed.
