What is Bolt Pet?
Bolt Pet is a specialized ride-hailing service by Bolt designed for passengers traveling with
their pets. It ensures a safe, comfortable, and convenient journey for both owners and
animals.
Where is Bolt Pet available?
Bolt Pet is currently available in the Bangkok CBD area, and expanding to other areas
soon.
What are the fares?
Starting from approximately THB 100 (depending on location and distance).
What types of pets are allowed?
Allowed pets include:
- Dogs (leashed or in a crate; large breeds like Rottweiler or Pit Bull must be muzzled)
- Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, hedgehogs, squirrels (must be crated)
- Fish, turtles, frogs, and similar small aquatic or amphibious pets (must be in a sealed
container)
Not allowed: birds, snakes, or animals not listed above.
What are the passenger and pet limits?
- Vehicle Type: Bolt Pet
- Pets Allowed: Up to 2 small or medium-sized pets
- Passengers Allowed: Up to 2 people
- Pet Size: Each pet under 45 cm in height
What are the key rules for using the service?
- At least one adult must accompany the pet during the ride.
- Dogs must be leashed or crated at all times.
- Small pets must be secured in a crate.
- Pets must be clean and free of parasites (ticks, fleas, etc.).
- Commercial transport or pet trading is prohibited.
- If the pet soils or damages the vehicle, a cleaning fee may apply.
- The driver may cancel the ride if the pet shows aggression or the passenger violates Bolt
Pet policy.
Liability & Compensation
- Bolt Pet provides limited compensation covering accidental injury or death during the
trip up to 20000 Bahts. - Bolt and its driver partners shall not be liable for:
- Pre-existing injuries or illnesses of pets.
- Indirect or consequential damages.
- Pet stress or anxiety caused by travel.
