Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) awarded the projects and people that have had the strongest impact to Estonian ICT sector at 2014 and Taxify was nominated as “The Breakthrough of the Year 2014”.
ITL chose Taxify for the award as this solution has become a hit among Estonian users and has shown rapid growth. Taxify has made taxi ordering faster and cheaper, as the client can choose the taxis based on location, price, payment method, car type and also see taxis arriving on the map. For taxi drivers Taxify provides new kind of convenience, instead of waiting in the car, they can have smartphone with the Taxify app in their pocket while waiting for customer ride notifications.
Anneli Heinsoo, the President of ITL commented their decision: „People say that using Taxify is pure joy, even if they don’t need to order the taxi. It is a clear sample how the usage of technology has changed the business itself – the time of traditional dispatch operators has passed. We only wish Taxify success with their global expansion.”
