Earlier this year, Bolt and London’s Air Ambulance Charity broke the internet (certainly TikTok) by introducing a Helicopter ride-type in the Bolt app.
Bolt Helicopter worked just like normal Bolt rides. The only difference was that rides included a 50p supplement which was donated to London’s Air Ambulance Charity. This resulted in more than £50,000 raised by Bolt users — an incredible community achievement!
You might think Santa’s sleigh is the most important flying object this month, but we beg to differ!
In the spirit of giving, we’re featuring Bolt Helicopter in London for one additional week (starting from today to 12th December 2021). When you select the Helicopter ride-type in the app, you’ll be taking a normal Bolt ride but donating 50p to an incredible cause.

In addition to featuring Bolt Helicopter, we’ve donated an additional £37,000 to London’s Air Ambulance Charity. From sponsoring the tail of a helicopter to abseiling off the roof of the Royal London Hospital, the Bolt team is eagerly planning future opportunities to support our community partner in 2022.
