All Bolt drivers must pass a DBS check and topographical test to operate in London. However, taxi drivers must pass The Knowledge of London — considered by many to be the most challenging taxi test in the world.

London taxis can also use bus lanes, saving you precious minutes when in a hurry and during rush hour.
How do I book a taxi in London with Bolt?
Once you’ve downloaded the app and added a payment card to your account, you’re ready to go.
Simply add your ride destination, select your preferred car category, such as Black Cab, and confirm your request.
Priced by the meter
Black Cab rides are priced based on fares set by Transport for London. An estimated fare will be shown in your Bolt app, and the final price paid is set in accordance with the taximeter.
Please note that a £2 online booking fee is added to your trip fare.

How do I share my arrival time?
Once your trip’s started, you can share the details with friends and family via the app. They’ll be able to see your pickup point, real-time location, and driver information.

How do I tip my taxi driver?
Once a trip ends, you can tip your driver via the Bolt app for up to 15 minutes. 100% of your tip will be sent to the driver.
