Moving around London just got even easier! You can now access Forest bikes directly through the Bolt app in 14 London boroughs.
E-bikes offer a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way to move around. They also play a key role in our aim to reduce the number of private cars in cities and towns by offering alternative transport methods.
Available 24/7, you can unlock an e-bike for £0.50 and cycle for just £0.29/minute. You can also get a 60 minute pass for £6.99 (no unlock fee) valid for 24 hours.
Simply pick up a Forest bike and park in any of the following 14 London boroughs:
Camden, City of London, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston, Lambeth, Merton, Southwark, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, Westminster.
How to unlock an e-bike
Renting a Forest bike on the Bolt app is as easy as riding a bike:
Open the Bolt app and tap the e-bike icon;
Pick how you pay – per minute or with a pass;
Read the safety tips;
Scan the e-bike’s QR code to unlock it;
When you’re done, park responsibly and follow the rules of your borough.
And that’s it, you’re ready to go. Open your Bolt app to try it out!
*NB The timer starts as soon as you unlock an e-bike — there’s no complimentary wait time.

Markus Villig, Founder and CEO of Bolt said: “More than six million people have used Bolt’s ride-hailing service in London and making Forest e-bikes available on the Bolt app will provide them with another convenient and sustainable way to move around, as well as connectivity to existing transport hubs in one of the world’s busiest cities.”
“Bolt is already the largest scooter and e-bike provider in Europe with over 230,000 vehicles in more than 25 countries, and this is the latest example of how we use partnerships to expand the services we bring to our customers, beyond operating our own fleet.”
Agustin Guilisasti, CEO & Founder of Forest, said: “We are delighted to be launching this ground-breaking partnership with Bolt, seamlessly allowing their millions of customers to access Forest’s affordable and sustainable shared e-bikes in London. Forest’s priority has always been to lower barriers to make cycling as accessible as possible. This is another powerful example of how mobility players can join forces to simplify how we travel, and boost the number of trips made by bike for the benefit of our communities and the environment.”
More than 70 percent of Bolt customers in the UK do not own a car, demonstrating that shared mobility services like ride-hailing are serving a new demographic of customers who are moving away from private car ownership.
In recent years, we’ve integrated our shared mobility services with Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) providers like Gaiyo in the Netherlands and Floya in Brussels, as well as car-sharing platforms such as MILES in Germany, adding 20,000 vehicles to meet the rising demand for flexible transport solutions.
