The Bike Project, Bolt’s Terms and Conditions

The Bike Project is a charitable organisation that accepts second hand bikes as donations, refurbishes and restores the bike and then re-donates such bikes to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK (the Project).

As an official partner of Project for 2022 to 2023, Bolt is running an in-app campaign to raise charitable funds for this Project and to assist in creating awareness of its cause (the Campaign).

“Bolt App” means the Bolt application enabling you to request and/or receive Services.

"Bolt Driver" means a driver licensed to provide private hire services who is authorised to transport a Passenger for a Journey on Bolt’s behalf.

“Campaign” means the charitable donations from you to the Project, as facilitated by the Bolt App.

"Fare" means the fare payable by Passengers for Journeys.

“Project” means The Bike Project (Company No. 08359498 and Registered Charity No. 1152354).

“Terms” means these terms for The Bike Project.

"we", "our" or "us" means Bolt Services UK Limited (Bolt) (a limited company incorporated and registered in the United Kingdom with company number 11063356, having its registered office at Studio 4 114 Power Road, London, W4 5PY).

"you”, “your” and “user” means the party entering into these Terms in their capacity as a Passenger with Bolt.

How it works

When you confirm a ride in the Bolt App, you may elect to add a charitable donation of 50p on top of the Fare for your ride (minus applicable taxes) by electing the ‘The Bike Project’ during this Campaign. This is a category list clicked on within the Bolt App, which includes the 50p donation in the cost of your ride Fare when selected. The Fare pricing itself will remain unchanged. On completion of your ride, this 50p will then be donated to the Project, to assist its mission of making mobility more accessible to the United Kingdom’s refugee community.

The Campaign will be available to users on the Bolt App when rides are accepted by Bolt Drivers in London between 13:00 BST, 1st December 2022 to 13:00 BST, 5th December 2022.
