Bolt Black Cab Spring iPhone Giveaway 2023 - Special Terms and Conditions
These Special Terms and Conditions (“STCs”) are intended to govern participation in the Bolt Black Cab iPhone Giveaway (hereinafter referred to as the “Campaign”).
Participation in the Campaign is subject to these STCs and supplemented by our Additional Terms (as referenced below in the definitions and linked accordingly). By participating in the Campaign, Participants accept that these terms and conditions are legally binding.
1. Definitions
Additional Terms – refers to the General Terms and Conditions for Drivers available here. In addition to the Privacy Policy here and the Marketing General Terms and Conditions for Drivers available here.
Bolt - refers to Bolt UK Services Limited (also referred to as we, ours or us) - Bolt UK Services Limited is a registered company under the laws of England and Wales, company number: 11063356, registered address: Studio 4 114 Power Road, London, W4 5PY.
Bolt Platform - refers to the Bolt App and any additional software utilised by Bolt for the provision of rideshare services.
Campaign - refers to the Bolt Black Cab Spring iPhone Giveaway 2023.
Campaign Period - means 12:00 am on 10th March 2023 to 11:59 pm on 14th May 2023.
Draw Date - means 17th May 2023.
Driver Account – means active Bolt Diver Account considered validly in operation by Bolt.
Eligible Journeys - means completed (i.e. not cancelled) journeys arranged exclusively via the Bolt driver app that are not associated with any irregular activity as is set out in our Driver FAQ (click here to read a copy ↗).
Participant – also collectively referred to as Participants, means an eligible London taxi driver who provides Transportation Services via the Bolt Platform. In order to be a London taxi driver you must have a Driving Licence (DVLA), taxi driver licence and taxi driver green badge and meet the requirements set out in clause 3.
STCs – refers to the Special Terms and Conditions for the Bolt Black Cab Spring iPhone Giveaway 2023 referred to in this document.
Transportation Services – All transportation services dispatched under these STCs must be made in compliance with all laws, tariffs and tariff rules relating to transportation by taxi, as applicable from time to time.
Winner - also collectively referred to as Winners, means the Participants who have successfully registered as a Bolt London Taxi Driver, had their account activated and completed 5 trips by 14th May 2023.
All capitalised terms, which are not defined otherwise, will have the meanings set out in the General Terms and Conditions for Drivers in the United Kingdom, which can be located here.
__2. Participants in the Campaign __
2.1. All Participants who meet the eligibility requirements described in clause 3 will automatically be included in the Campaign and shall be considered a “Participant” at the absolute discretion of Bolt.
2.2. This Campaign is only available to Participants.
2.3. The Campaign is available in London, United Kingdom and will run from 12:00 am on 10th March 2023 to 11:59 pm on 14th May 2023.
2.4. Only natural persons with full legal capacity can enrol in the Campaign.

3. Participants requirements
3.1. Participants must have the following valid documents: London taxi driver licence, green taxi driver badge and DVLA licence.
3.2. Participants must successfully register as a Bolt London taxi driver and have their account activated before the 30th April 2023.
3.3. Participants must complete 5 trips by the 14th May 2023. The 5 trips have to be Eligible Journeys otherwise the trip will not count.
3.4. Participants must comply with these STC’s as well as Bolts Additional Terms.
3.5. Participants must comply with all relevant applicable laws in England and Wales.
3.6. Bolt reserves the right to refuse participation in the Campaign to:
3.6.1. any Participant who does not comply with these STCs or our Additional Terms;
3.6.2. any Participant who has previously violated our Additional Terms;
3.6.3. any Participant who engages in fraudulent activity or gives rise to suspicion of fraudulent activity on the Bolt Platform;
3.6.4. any Participant whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intent of the Campaign; and
3.6.5. any Participant that hasn’t been selected for the purpose of this Campaign.
3.7. Bolt reserves the right to withhold any prize to any Participant that engages in fraudulent activity, or gives rise to suspicion of fraudulent activity on the Bolt Platform. If Bolt discovers that a Participant has engaged in any fraudulent activity or related dealings, Bolt reserves the right to withhold any prizes for investigation and is entitled to report the Participant's conduct to the police, transport regulator or any other relevant law enforcement bodies.
3.8. Participants may opt out of the Campaign by contacting Bolt at black-cabs@bolt.eu ↗ alternatively at london-taxi@uk.bolt-ops.eu ↗.
3.9. Bolt reserves the right to terminate the Campaign at its absolute discretion at any time. If the Campaign is terminated throughout the Campaign Period, all Participant’s accept that their accumulated finished rides at that date do not give them an automatic right to prizes, it will be up to Bolt to determine whether prizes are allocated on termination of the Campaign.
4. How to Enter
4.1. All Participants will automatically be enrolled into the prize draws provided that they fulfil the requirements set out in clause 3.
4.2. Bolt does not accept any claim and will not have any liability for Participants entries which are not successfully recorded or completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite network or server failure of any kind. Bolt does not accept any responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault.
4.3. The number of finished rides that Bolt believes to be fraudulent will not be counted. Any suspicion of fraud will result in immediate disqualification from the Campaign. Bolt will determine which activities are considered fraudulent in its sole discretion. Bolt's decision that an activity is fraudulent is final.
5. Winners
5.1. There will be three Winners in total selected during the Campaign.
5.2. The Winners will be selected randomly by Bolt on or shortly after the Draw Date.
6. Prize Draws
6.1. During the Campaign Period, there will be three prizes available in total. The prize will be an iPhone 14, the exact model and colour may vary. Bolt reserves the right at its sole discretion to decide the Iphone model and colour. The Participant does not have a right under these STC’s to demand a particular Iphone model and colour.
6.2. During the entire Campaign Period a Participant has a maximum of one entry into each prize draw and may only win a single prize in each prize draw.
6.3. All entries are subject to compliance with the entry criteria set out in clause 3 and 4.
6.4. The prizes for the Winners cannot be exchanged or transferred for any other alternative prize.
7. How the winners be notified
7.1. Winners will be notified that they have won. We aim to notify the Winners as soon as reasonably possible after the Draw Date. Winners will be contacted by telephone or email using the contact details provided to us via the Bolt Driver App (either at the time of activation or as amended since then). It is your responsibility as a Participant to make sure your contact details on the Bolt Driver App are up-to-date.
7.2. The Winner has 3 business days to accept the prize. If the prize is rejected, or if the Winner is subsequently found to be ineligible for a prize, they will be disqualified, and the next Participant who meets the criteria will be selected randomly.
7.3. Bolt’s decisions regarding any aspect of the prize draws are final and binding.
8. How the prizes will be issued
8.1. Once the Winners have been successfully contacted and their identity has been verified by us, we will give each winner one iPhone 14. Participants will need to come and collect their prize from a collection location determined by Bolt.
9. Personal Data and Publicity
9.1. Bolt will process Participants’ personal data for the purpose of this Campaign in accordance with Bolt’s Privacy Policy (available here).
9.2. By accepting the Prize, the Winner consents to the Campaigns Terms and Conditions and Bolt publishing or making available his/her name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph and video recording of the same) and country in Bolt’s website and any other marketing channels, including social media channels and newsletters. Bolt may be required to provide the Winner’s information and winning entry to a regulatory authority on request.It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form to be determined by Bolt in its absolute discretion.
9.3. We may be required to either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award following the prize draws took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the surname and country of all major prize Winners and, if applicable, copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails us at black-cabs@bolt.eu by no later than 31 January 2023. If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact us by emailing uk-driver@bolt.eu. In such circumstances, Bolt reserves the right to publish the Winners first initial and surname. Bolt must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
9.4. By accepting the Prize, the Winner consents to the Campaigns Special Terms and Conditions and Bolt publishing or making available his/her name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph and video recording of the same) and country in Bolt’s website and any other marketing channels, including social media channels and newsletters. Bolt may be required to provide the Winner’s information and winning entry to a regulatory authority on request.It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form to be determined by Bolt in its absolute discretion.
10. General Conditions
10.1. The Campaign will be run by Bolt who will be responsible for determining the prize draws.
10.2. In addition to Bolt's other reserved rights referred to in these STCs, Bolt reserves the right not to make public the number of finished rides awarded to Winners.
10.3. Bolt does not accept any claim relating to the selection of Winners nor any liability, direct or indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way from the Campaign.
10.4. The interpretation of these STCs and Additional Terms for Drivers rests exclusively with Bolt, which reserves the right to change such terms from time to time.
10.5. Bolt further reserves the right to change, limit or terminate the Campaign in its sole discretion without notice.
10.6. As far as it is permitted by law, Bolt, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Bolt, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. In particular, Bolt will not be liable for any obligation you have in respect of any events beyond its reasonable control, any tax implications or liabilities of any Winners of a prize.
10.7. Any Participant who engages in the prize draws or takes any steps to claim a prize will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
10.8. Bolt reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
10.9. Bolt reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draws where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.10. The prize draws will be governed by the law of England and Wales.
11. Applicable legislation and resolution
11.1. In the event that any of the provisions of these STCs are found to be totally or partially ineffective, this decision will not affect the validity of the remaining parts of these STCs and Additional Terms.
11.2. These STCs will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that may arise in relation to these STCs, Additional Terms and the Campaign, whether concerning their existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, termination or other matters, shall be resolved through negotiations. If any dispute resulting from these STCs, Additional Terms and the Campaign cannot be resolved through negotiation, the dispute must be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
