Bolt Link Referral Campaign - Special Terms and Conditions

Effective from: 12:00 pm on 29 May 2024

These Special Terms and Conditions (“STCs”) are intended to govern participation in the Bolt Link Referral Campaign (hereinafter referred to as the “Campaign”). By participating in this Campaign, Referral Drivers and any affiliated Bolt Link Drivers accept that these STCs are legally binding.

Within the scope of these STCs, the following definitions will apply:

Definitions

Referral Driver(s) refers to the person providing Transportation Services via the Bolt Platform who is an SPSV licensed vehicle Driver in England, Scotland and Wales, holds a valid Bolt Link Account and successfully refers Bolt Link Drivers to their Bolt Link Account. Further eligibility requirements are outlined in Clause 3.

Bolt refers to Bolt UK Services Limited (also referred to as we, ours or us) Bolt Services UK Limited is a registered company under the laws of England and Wales, company number: 11063356, registered address: Leather Market, Unit J, Taper Studios, 175 Long Lane, London, SE1 4GT.

Bolt Platform refers to the Bolt App and any additional software utilised by Bolt for the provision of journey services.

Bolt Link refers to the account link feature that allows a Referral Driver to have additional Bolt Link Drivers accounts to be associated with their existing Driver's account.

Bolt Link Account refers to an additional account associated with your account via Bolt Link.

Bolt Link Driver(s) refers to the person who is a licensed vehicle driver in England, Scotland and Wales and is permitted to fulfil Transportation Services on the Bolt Platform on behalf of the Referral Driver on their Bolt Link Account.

Campaign refers to this Bolt Link Referral Campaign where Referral Driver can obtain a Reward if they refer a Bolt Link Driver to Bolt and the referred Bolt Link Driver completes 20 Eligible Journeys on the Bolt Platform within 14 days of approved registration with Bolt.

Campaign Period means 12:00 pm on 29th May 2024 to 11:59 pm on 30th November 2024.

Eligible Journey(s) means completed journeys (i.e. not cancelled) for Passengers in compliance with Bolt’s General Platform Terms for Drivers available here and in compliance with these STCs.

Reward means £200.00. The Reward may vary from time to time. Bolt reserves the right at its sole discretion to decide the Reward.

Terms and Conditions refers to the General Terms and Conditions for Fleet Partners/Drivers and the Privacy Policy all available here.

  1. Campaign

1.1. For general questions arising out of these STCs and/or related queries about this Campaign, please contact Bolt through the App or via email here: uk-association@bolt-drivers.com.

  1. The Campaign

2.1. The Campaign is designed to provide Referral Drivers with the opportunity to obtain a Reward provided they meet the eligibility requirements detailed in clause 3.

  1. How to participate in the Campaign

3.1. This Campaign is available to Referral Drivers in England, Wales and Scotland.

3.2. Only natural persons with full legal capacity can be Referral Drivers in this Campaign.

3.3. Referral Driversmust comply with these STC’s to be eligible for a Reward.

3.4. Referral Drivers must comply with all relevant applicable laws in England, Scotland and Wales.

3.5. Referral Drivers must ensure:

3.5.1.They refer a Bolt Link Driver to the Bolt Platform between 12pm on 29th May 2024 and 11:59pm on the 30th November 2024 (Campaign Period) via the referral code provided by one of Bolt’s representatives;

3.5.2.The personal link and referral code must be given when referring the Bolt Link Driver; and

3.5.3.The new Bolt Link Driver must complete 20 Eligible Journeys as a minimum within 14 days during the Campaign Period.

  1. Reward

4.1. During the Campaign Period, if the Referral Driver meets the eligibility requirements in clause 3 they will receive a Reward.

4.2. The Reward may vary from time to time. Bolt reserves the right at its sole discretion to decide the Reward. The Referral Drivers does not have a right under these STC’s to demand a particular Reward.

4.3. During the entire Campaign Period a Referral Driver will receive a Reward for every successful referral made for a Bolt Link Driver.

4.4. There is no limitation on the amount of referrals a Referral Driver can make for the purpose of obtaining a Reward, provided they are in compliance with these STCs and any additional Bolt Terms and Conditions.

4.5. All entries are subject to compliance with the requirements in clause 3.

4.6. The Reward to the Referral Driver cannot be exchanged or transferred for any other alternative prize.

4.7. Bolt’s decisions regarding any aspect of the Reward are final and binding.

  1. General Conditions

5.1. Bolt reserves the right to refuse participation in the Campaign to:

5.1.1 Any Referral Driverwho does not comply with these STCs;

5.1.2. Any Referral Driver who engages in fraudulent activity or gives rise to suspicion of fraudulent activity on the Bolt Platform in contravention of Bolt’s Fraud Policy here.

5.1.3. Any Referral Driver whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intent of the Campaign.

5.1.4.Any Referral Driver that hasn’t been selected for the purpose of this Campaign.

5.2. The Campaign will be run by Bolt who will be responsible for determining the Campaign STCs and the Reward.

5.3. Bolt does not accept any claim, nor any liability, direct or indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way from the Campaign.

5.4. The interpretation of these STCs for Referral Drivers rests exclusively with Bolt, which reserves the right to change these STCs from time to time, updated versions will be provided online and supersede any prior Terms and Conditions.

5.5. Bolt further reserves the right to change, limit or terminate the Campaign in its sole discretion without notice.

5.6. As far as it is permitted by law, Bolt, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Referral Driver or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Reward except where it is caused by the negligence of Bolt, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. In particular, Bolt will not be liable for any obligation you have in respect of any events beyond its reasonable control, any tax implications or liabilities of any Referral Drivers that obtain a Reward.

5.7. Any Referral Drivers that obtain a Reward, or take any steps to obtain a Reward, will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these STCs.

5.8. Bolt reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the Reward to anyone in breach of these STCs.

5.9. Bolt reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Reward where it becomes necessary to do so.

  1. Applicable legislation and resolution

6.1. In the event that any of the provisions of these STCs are found to be totally or partially ineffective, this decision will not affect the validity of the remaining parts of these STCs.

6.2. These STCs will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that may arise, shall be resolved through negotiations. If any dispute resulting from these STCs that cannot be resolved through negotiation, the dispute must be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
