This article includes info on:
Passengers with assistance animals
Service animals are permitted to accompany passengers at all times in any Bolt category without extra charge. If you need to cancel or refuse to carry out a ride because of medical reasons, e.g. allergies, please explain to the rider the reason why.
Bolt Pet category
Passengers may bring a maximum of two small animals, such as a small to medium-sized dog, a cat or any other animal classed as a domestic pet.
- If the passenger is travelling alone, they are allowed to bring up to two small pets
- If there are 2 or more passengers, they are allowed to bring one pet
Passengers are fully responsible for their pets for the duration of the ride. When transporting the animals, cats and dogs don't have to be caged, whereas other common household animals should be caged.
To ensure the car remains clean, we recommend riders to bring a blanket to cover the seats and a cleaning kit with wet wipes and tissues. This is to help clear up small amounts of hair and free the vehicle of any smells.
If a messy condition is left behind by the rider and the car needs professional cleaning, they will be charged a cleaning fee. These instances include excessive animal hair, persistent odours, and instances of animal waste.
