What is a waybill?
When you complete a trip on Bolt, a waybill is automatically generated as a booking and trip confirmation. It is an additional document produced by Bolt and can serve as useful supporting evidence of a completed trip.
The waybill is provided as a driver-support and transparency tool only. It is not required by law to be generated by Bolt, and Bolt has no legal responsibility to provide, guarantee or replace booking evidence for drivers.
The waybill does not replace your statutory documentation.
The waybill is not a legal document and does not substitute the statutory documentation you are required to carry as a driver. In Italy, the mandatory statutory document is the Foglio di servizio, which is your responsibility – and your operator's – to maintain and keep up to date. Bolt has no legal obligation to provide booking evidence.
If you are stopped by the authorities and the required statutory documentation is missing, incomplete or incorrect, any related responsibility remains with you and/or your operator, not Bolt.
Always ensure your Foglio di servizio is complete and in order before going online.
