An e-bike ride price is calculated based on the unlock fee and minute rate. If you pause your ride, the minute fee will still be calculated.

To check the rates, click on the e-bike icon on the map and see the price below the Reserve button. 

Bolt performs a temporary card verification before each e-bike trip. It is done to check your card’s validity and minimise any fraudulent use of your card and information. This hold of money (authorisation) is never charged to your account, but it can be listed as a pending charge that is either returned immediately or within 14 days, depending on your bank.
