2. How will this work if I already have a Bolt account?

If you’ve already signed up and taken your first ride with Bolt, sadly this one isn’t really for you. However, you can still earn free rides by sharing your promo discount with your family and friends who have yet to use Bolt.

All you have to do is share your personal promo code (found by clicking on “FREE RIDES” on the top left-hand corner of your app) and they will be able to enjoy the free rides. You will also receive credit for referring them to Bolt. Yay!

3. How do I share my promo code?

To share your promo code, follow these steps:

• tap on the main menu (the three bars in the top left-corner);
• select “Free Rides”;
• choose a channel and share the code with a friend.

NOTE: Referral codes cannot be redeemed by existing users who create new accounts.

4. Will drivers get compensated if riders have free rides?

Yes, Bolt drivers get paid no matter the type of customer credit used including promo codes, price discounts or ride credit. Every time we run customer promotions, we pay bonuses to drivers to cushion their earnings from the effects of the discounted prices. The idea is to increase the number of rides a driver makes in a day, so that they end up taking more money home. It’s a cycle that works for everyone.
