Income and payments for drivers on the Bolt platform

Our payment cycle is calculated from Monday at 00:00 to Sunday at 23:59 of the same week, and your earnings will be calculated for the trips completed during this period.

Drivers receive their payout every week for the trips made in the "Bolt Driver" app during the previous week. You don't have to wait a month to receive what you've earned!

Bolt deducts a commission from the total price of the order.

Rīga, Jūrmala, Ogre: 25% + VAT

Daugavpils, Liepāja, Valmiera, Jelgava, Sigulda: 20% + VAT

Ventspils: 15% + VAT

The commission fee is applied to trips paid for via the in-app payment method as well as cash trips, and also to cancellation fees. The commission is not applied to tips, bonuses, or entry fees (for example, at the airport).

The commission is calculated automatically and deducted from your weekly earnings. You can see the total deducted commission amount in the Earnings view.

The commission is calculated according to the city where your Bolt Driver profile is registered.

The price of a trip is calculated by taking the parameters below into account.

Base fare: The price for starting the ride.

Time rate: The time from the start of the trip to the end.

Distance rate: The distance of the route traveled.

Dynamic pricing, if applicable.

Any additional fees, if applicable (for example, an airport toll).

You can find the rates for different Bolt categories on our website.

The estimated price is shown to the customer based on the expected travel distance and the planned time of arrival. The estimated trip price also takes into account traffic and other road situations that may affect the route and trip duration.

The final price can change if additional stops are added during the trip.

A monthly report is a summary of your previous month's earnings (including bonuses) and deductions.

Important: This report should not be considered an official tax document and is compiled for informational purposes only. Please contact an accounting service provider for tax-related consultations.

Where can I find my monthly report? The report is sent within the first three days of each month to the email address registered to your driver profile.

You can find all available reports in the Reports section by logging into your account on the Driver Portal.

What do the elements of the monthly report mean?

Total Breakdown: The amount which consists of the gross trip price, entry fees, and cancellation fees—before the commission fee is deducted.

Other Income Breakdown: The sum of bonuses and tips received in the previous month.

Other Deductions: Commission fees, amounts refunded to customers, and other deductions from the previous month.

Note:

The Bolt commission fee is calculated from the gross trip price and is not applied to bonuses and tips.

If your earned bonus exceeds the Bolt commission fee amount, you will see a "0" next to the Bolt commission fee.

Please be aware that besides tolls and booking fees, there are no other additional or hidden fees that are automatically deducted from your account.

To check your current balance and earnings, open the Earnings view on the main page and select the appropriate time range (day, week, or month). Click on Earnings or Expenses to see more detailed information.

If you cannot find specific balance elements, please check if any of the suggestions below apply:

Cash trips are not visible in the Balance section. To view the total amount of in-app payments and cash payments, look in the Earnings section.

If a trip's price is still under review, the amount will be added after the review is complete. While the order is being reviewed, the final price will not yet be visible in the trip history. Price reviews are usually confirmed within 1-3 days, in the order they are received.

Bonuses may be added to your balance with a delay or after the specified qualification period has ended.

For long-term bonus campaigns, the bonus amount will be added after the minimum requirements are met and will be updated after each completed trip. The total added bonus amount will only be available at the end of the bonus period.

Compensations are usually added at the end of the payment cycle.

A cancellation fee is an amount that is automatically added to your earnings if:

You cancel the order after you have arrived at the passenger's specified location, but the passenger does not show up for the ride after you have waited for several minutes.

The passenger cancels the order after you have accepted it and have been driving towards the passenger's pickup location for a significant amount of time. The time you must spend driving varies in different cities and countries.

Please note that the Bolt commission fee is applied to the cancellation fee.

A cancellation is not compensated if:

The passenger cancelled the order within the allowed time period after you accepted it (within 2-5 minutes).

You exceeded the estimated time of arrival at the pickup location.

You marked your arrival or cancelled the order while you were far from the pickup location.

You were waiting for the passenger far from their specified pickup location or continued driving after you had already marked your arrival.

You cancelled the order at the pickup location, but before the recommended waiting time for the passenger had expired (5 minutes).

The passenger ordered a ride with cash payment or with a card via the in-car terminal.

If you have not received your payout, please make sure that:

Your driver profile is active.

The bank account information added to your driver profile is correct. If there is an error, please contact Customer Support. The missing amount will be included in your current balance and paid out with the next payout.
