When you use Bolt Drive, your financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle is limited to €1000. If you damage someone else’s property, your responsibility is limited to €750.
This protection only applies if you follow Bolt Drive General Terms and Conditions, the damage was from an accident that you reported to us and the police right away and cooperated fully in resolving the issue.
Not following Bolt Drive's General Terms and Conditions, damaging the car on purpose, and driving dangerously will cancel the protection. In such cases, you could be fined and may need to pay for all the damage.
What actions can result in a fine when using Bolt Drive?
- Letting someone else use your account or drive the vehicle (€260 fine)
- Creating multiple accounts, creating fake accounts, or creating an account using information that's not yours (€5,000 fine)
- Careless driving, speeding, drifting, racing, or using the vehicle for anything other than everyday travel (€260 fine)
- Stealing or trying to steal the vehicle (€1,500 fine)
- Stealing or trying to steal vehicle equipment (€349 fine)
- Failing to maintain the vehicle's cleanliness (€75 fine)
- Damaging the vehicle's interior or exterior (€750 fine)
- Using the wrong type of fuel (€300 fine)
- Misusing the fuel or charging card (€200 fine)
- Losing or damaging vehicle accessories, including keys (€349 fine)
- Failing to report incidents, damage, or accidents (€305 fine)
- Not returning the key after the ride and failing to inform Bolt within 30 minutes (€1/min fine, limited to €199 for 24 hours)
- Returning the vehicle with an empty tank: less than 10% fuel or 20% battery (€30 fine)
- Finishing the ride outside the allowed areas (€100 fine + €1/km to the nearest allowed area)
- Failing to pay road taxes, parking fees, and other applicable fees (fine amount plus €10 administrative fee)
- Abandoning the vehicle without notice and deliberately fleeing the scene of an accident (€3,050 fine)
- Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle (€75 fine)
- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (€2,050 fine)
