Bolt Super League, Portugal campaign - Special Terms and Conditions (June 2024)
These Special Terms and Conditions are intended to regulate participation in the “Super Liga Bolt, Portugal” contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Program” and as further described below) promoted by Bolt.
Participation in the Program is subject to these Special Terms and Conditions as well as the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators or Taxi Operators and Drivers at their service (as applicable) and the Privacy Policy (all available at https://bolt.eu/pt-pt/legal/).
By participating in the Program, Participants (as defined below) agree to these Special Terms and Conditions.
The Program is only available in Portugal.
Duration
The Program will run from 00:00 on 17 June 2024 and 23:59 on 14 July 2024 (the “Program Period”). 1. Definitions
Within the scope of these Special Terms and Conditions, the following definitions shall apply:
«Program» - means the “Super Liga Bolt, Portugal” competition held by Bolt, within a limited time and space horizon, with the aim of boosting platform engagement.
«Driver(s)» - means the drivers as defined in the ‘General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators or Taxi Operators and Drivers at their service’ (as applicable)
«Participant(s)» - means the eligible Driver selected by Bolt as described under clause 3. «Activity Region» - means the region to which the city where each trip was completed belongs.
«Regional Ranking Leaderboard» - means the table that will assign the position of each Participant in each week of the Program according to the Activity Region.
«Weekly Ranking Leaderboard» - means the table that will assign the position of each Participant in each week of the Program.
«Final Ranking Leaderboard» - refers to the table that will assign the position of each Participant at the end of Program Period.
All capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein have the meanings set forth in the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators or Taxi Operators and Drivers at their service (as applicable).
2. Participants in the Program
2.1. All Drivers at the service of a TVDE or Taxi Operator who meet the eligibility requirements described below will automatically be included in the Program and will be considered a
“Participant”:
a) Drivers who are already active on the Bolt Platform and new Drivers who have their Bolt Driver Account activated during the course of the Program Period qualify as Participant;
b) All Participants must have a valid phone number and email registered in their Bolt Driver Account;
c) Participants must comply with all relevant applicable laws in Portugal, and in particular with art.13 of Law 45/2018;
2.2. Only natural persons with full legal capacity can enroll in the Program.
2.3. Bolt reserves the right to refuse participation in the Program to:
a) Any Driver who does not fulfill the above mentioned conditions;
b) Any Driver who has previously violated any of the rules set out in these Special Terms and Conditions;
c) Any Driver who violates the ‘General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators or Taxi Operators and Drivers at their service’ (as applicable).
2.4. A Participant can decide to opt out from the Program by contacting Bolt at portugal@bolt.eu.
3. Winners
3.1. Subject to the additional terms in clause 6, the weekly winners will be:
a) the six Participants who, at the end of each week, will have the highest number of finished trips concluded for that week at their Activity Region (the «Weekly Regional Winners»).
b) the nine Participants who, at the end of each week, will have the highest number of finished trips concluded for that week (the «Weekly Country Winners») nationwide.
If it is not possible to decide the Weekly Country Winner and/or Weekly Regional Winner because of equal number of finished trips, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied, in the following order: average number of trips taken by Participants at the service of the same TVDE or Taxi Operator, average hours spent online by Participants at the service of the same TVDE or Taxi Operator.
3.2. At the end of the Program, the Participant with the highest accumulated number of finished trips concluded throughout the Program Period will be considered the final winner (the «Final Winner»). If it is not possible to decide the Final Winner because of equal number of finished trips, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied, in the following order: average number of trips taken by Participants at the service of the same TVDE or Taxi Operator, average hours spent online by Participants at the service of the same TVDE or Taxi Operator.
4. Prizes
4.1. During the Program Period, Weekly Country Winners and Weekly Regional Winners will be awarded prizes, consisting of bonuses worth €150, paid on the same terms as the payment made to the TVDE Operator or Taxi Operator and subject to the conditions set out in clause 6 below (the «Weekly Prizes»).
4.2. At the end of the Program, the Final Winner will be awarded a prize consisting of a bonus worth €1500, paid on the same terms as the payment made to the TVDE Operator or Taxi Operator and subject to the conditions set out in clause 6 below (the «Final Prize»).
5. Prizes attribution
5.1. The Weekly Prizes will be awarded at the end of the following week, via in-app bonus subject to the conditions below:
a) Throughout the Program Period, each Participant is eligible to earn the Weekly Prizes whenever they cumulatively meet the following criteria: complete a minimum of 30 trips using the Bolt Platform and not surpass a maximum of 10 online hours per day .
b) Weekly Prizes will only be awarded to Drivers who qualify as Participants at the time of awarding the prizes.
c) Participants eligible for both the Weekly Regional Prize and the Weekly Country Prize simultaneously will receive only one of the prizes, with the other prize awarded to the next eligible Participant in the respective Weekly Leaderboard or Weekly Regional Leaderboard.
- 5.2. The Final Winner will be awarded the value of the relevant Final Prize or equivalent amount by the end of the month following the end of the Program. The Final Winner and their TVDE or Taxi Operator will be contacted by phone or email within 15 days of the end of the Program. In case neither the Final Winner nor their TVDE or Taxi Operator do not claim the prize within 15 days following contact, Bolt reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible Participant in the Final Ranking Leaderboard.
5.3. Any suspicion of fraud will result in immediate disqualification from the Program. Bolt will determine fraudulent activities in its sole discretion. Bolt's decision to determine fraudulent activity is final.
6. General Terms
6.1. The Program will be conducted by Bolt, who will be responsible for the Weekly Ranking Leaderboard, Weekly Regional Leaderboard and Final Ranking Leaderboard, as well as for organizing the distributions of the Weekly Prizes and Final Prizes.
6.2. Bolt does not accept any claim regarding the selection of Weekly Winners and Final Winners nor any liability, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Program.
7. Personal data and intellectual property rights
7.1. Bolt will process the Participants’s personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy for Portugal (available at https://bolt.eu/pt-pt/legal/) and with the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators or Taxi Operators and Drivers at their service (as applicable).
7.2. All intellectual property rights to which Participants have access through the Program belong to Bolt and Participants may not use, store, distribute, transmit or modify any such intellectual property rights.
8. Changes
8.1. Bolt reserves the right to change these Special Terms and Conditions from time to time and publish on this page, however no changes can be applied retroactively.
8.2. Bolt further reserves the right to modify, limit or terminate the Program in its sole discretion at any time. If the Program is terminated throughout the Program Period, all Drivers accept that their accumulated Points at that date do not give them an automatic right to prizes, it will be up to Bolt to determine whether prizes are allocated on termination of the Program.
9. Communications
Communications regarding these Special Terms and Conditions must be in writing and addressed to Bolt, at portugal@bolt.eu.
10. Applicable law and resolution
10.1. In the event that any of the provisions of these Special Terms and Conditions is considered totally or partially ineffective, this decision will not affect the validity of the remaining part of these Special Terms and Conditions.
10.2. These Special Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Portuguese laws.
10.3. Any dispute that may arise in relation to these Special Terms and Conditions and to the Program, whether concerning its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, termination or others, shall be settled through negotiations. If any dispute arising out of these Special Terms and Conditions is not capable of being settled by negotiation, the dispute shall then be resolved in the Portuguese courts.
