Bolt Super League, Portugal - Special Terms and Conditions (April 2025)

These Special Terms and Conditions are intended to regulate participation in the "Super Liga Bolt, Portugal" competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Program", as better described below) promoted by Bolt.


Participation in the Program is subject to these Special Terms and Conditions, as well as the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators and Drivers at their service (as applicable) and the Privacy Policy (all available at https://bolt.eu/pt-pt/legal/).


By participating in the Program, Participants (as defined below) accept these Special Terms and Conditions.


1. Definitions

1.1 Within the scope of these Special Terms and Conditions, the following definitions shall apply:

"Program" - means "Super League Bolt, Portugal" promoted by Bolt, in a limited time and space, with the purpose of favoring interaction with the platform.

"Driver(s)" - means drivers as defined in the 'General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators and Drivers at their Service' (as applicable).

"Participant" - means an eligible driver selected by Bolt as described in Clause 2.

"Region of Activity" - means the region to which the city where each trip was completed belongs.

"Weekly Ranking Table" - means the table that will indicate the position of each Participant in each week of the Program.

1.2 All capitalized terms not otherwise defined shall have the meanings set forth in the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators and Drivers at their service (as applicable).


2. Participants in the Program

2.1 All Drivers working for a TVDE Operator who meet the eligibility requirements described below will be automatically included in the Program and will be considered a "Participant":

a) Drivers who are active on the Bolt Platform, with their Driver Account active on the start date and throughout the course of the Program Period, in accordance with Clause 3.1, qualify as Participants;

b) All Participants have a valid telephone number and e-mail address registered in their Driver Account;

c) All Participants comply with all relevant applicable laws in Portugal and, in particular, Law no. 45/2018, of August 10th;

2.2 Only natural persons with full legal capacity can register for the Program.

2.3 Bolt reserves the right to refuse participation in the Program to:

a) Any Driver who does not comply with the above conditions;

b) Any Driver who violates or has violated, at any time, any of the rules established in these Special Terms and Conditions.

c) Any Driver who violates the 'General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators and Drivers at their service'.

d) Any Driver who, in any way, violates the provisions of Law no. 45/2018, of August 10th.

2.4 A Participant may opt out of the Program by contacting Bolt at portugal@bolt.eu


3. Duration and Scope

3.1. The Program will run from 00:00 hours on March 31, 2025 to 23:59 hours on April 27, 2025 (the "Program Period"), will last four weeks, and is valid only in mainland Portugal and Madeira Island.

3.2 Participants will be integrated into the Program according to their Region of Activity, which will be determined according to the region in which the Participants have the highest number of registered trips in the first week of the program ("Qualification Week").

3.3 The Program will be divided into three distinct Leagues, and the League in which each Driver will compete will be determined in the first week of its duration ("Qualification Week"), according to the number of journeys completed in that same week, in their Region of Activity, according to the table below.

3.4 In the following three weeks, Participants will compete, within their League, for the highest number of trips completed in those weeks, in their Region of Activity, with the possibility of moving up a League, based on the number of trips completed each week, according to the table below.

4. Winners

4.1 Subject to the additional terms of Clauses 5 and 6, the weekly winners will be:

a) the seven Participants who, in their League, at the end of each week, have completed the most trips that same week in their Region of Activity, for a total of forty-two winners per week (the "Weekly Winners");

4.2 If it is not possible to decide on a Weekly Winner due to a tie situation, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied, in the following order: weekly average number of trips completed by the total number of Drivers working for the same TVDE Operator as the Participant, weekly average number of hours online by the total number of Drivers working for the same TVDE Operator as the Participant.


5. Awards 

During the Program Period, Weekly Winners will receive the following prizes, according to their League, consisting of bonuses paid on the same terms as the payment to the TVDE Operator and subject to the conditions set out in Clause 6 below (the "Weekly Prizes").

  1. Platinum League: 1st place - 175€; 2nd place - 150€; 3rd place - 100€
  2. Golden League: 1st place - 80€; 2nd place - 65€
  3. Silver League: 1st place - 45€; 2nd place - 25€


6. Awarding of prizes

6.1 The Weekly Prizes will be awarded at the end of the following week via a bonus in the app, subject to the conditions below:

a) During the Program Period, each Participant is eligible to win the Weekly Prizes whenever they cumulatively meet the following criteria: (i) complete a minimum of 5 trips using the Bolt Platform, (ii) comply with the provisions of Law no. 45/2018, of August 10 (namely, the provisions of article 13, no. 1) and (iii) reach the top positions that week.

 b) The Weekly Prizes will only be awarded to Drivers who qualify as Participants at the time the prizes are awarded.

6.2 Any suspicion of fraud will result in immediate disqualification from the Program. Bolt will determine fraudulent activity at its sole discretion. Bolt's decision to determine certain fraudulent activity is final.


7. General conditions

7.1 The Program will be run by Bolt, who will be responsible for the Weekly Leaderboard, as well as organizing the distribution of the Weekly Prizes.

7.2 Bolt does not accept any claim relating to the selection of the Weekly Winners or any liability, direct or indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way from the Program.


8. Personal data and intellectual property rights

8.1 Bolt will process Participants' personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy for Portugal (available at https://bolt.eu/pt-pt/legal/) and the General Terms and Conditions for TVDE Operators and Drivers at their service (whichever is applicable).

8.2 Any intellectual property rights to which Participants have access during the Program belong to Bolt and Participants may not use, store, distribute, transmit or alter any such intellectual property rights.


9. Changes

9.1 Bolt reserves the right to change these Special Terms and Conditions at any time, but no changes may be applied retroactively.

8.2 Bolt further reserves the right to amend, limit or cancel the Program at its sole discretion at any time. If the Program is cancelled during the Program Period, all Drivers accept that the number of completed trips accumulated up to that date does not automatically entitle them to the prizes, and it is Bolt's decision whether prizes will be awarded in these circumstances or not.

10. Communications

Communications regarding these Special Terms and Conditions must be in writing and sent to Bolt at portugal@bolt.eu .


 11. Legal compliance

11.1 All Participants guarantee that their participation in the Program will take place in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 45/2018, of August 10, namely in compliance with the limits stipulated in article 13, no. 1.

11.2 Bolt will exclude from the Program any Participant found to be in breach of the provisions of the previous paragraph or other provisions of Law no. 45/2018, of August 10, and the exclusion from the Program will be immediate and final.


12. Applicable legislation and resolution

12.1 Should any of the provisions of these Special Terms and Conditions be deemed wholly or partially ineffective, this decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining part of these Special Terms and Conditions.

12.2 These Special Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Portuguese law.

12.3 Any dispute that may arise in relation to these Special Terms and Conditions and the Program, whether concerning their existence, validity, interpretation, execution, breach, termination or other matters, shall be resolved through negotiation. If it is not possible to resolve any dispute arising from these Special Terms and Conditions through negotiation, the dispute shall be resolved in the Portuguese courts.
