Travel Insurance Coverage Policy in Bolt
The insurance applies according to the type of vehicle:
Cars: 1 (one) driver + up to 4 (four) passengers.
Motorcycles: 1 (one) driver + 1 (one) passenger
What does the insurance cover?
Death, organic or functional disability, or permanent injuries of the driver or passenger.
Medical, pharmaceutical, and hospital expenses.
Medically prescribed rest days.
The driver is covered from the moment the ride is accepted and up to 30 minutes after its completion. The passenger is covered from the moment they get into the vehicle until they get out of it.
What is not covered by the insurance?
Material damages to the vehicle.
Damages to external structures.
Injuries caused to third parties other than the driver or the passengers registered in the ride.
Conditions for coverage
It must be the driver registered on the platform, using the vehicle also registered. If the driver or vehicle do not match, this will not affect the passengers’ right to access the insurance. The ride must have been carried out in compliance with current traffic regulations for drivers to be covered by the insurance.
Procedure to access the insurance
In case of an incident, it must be reported through Bolt’s in-app support. If the driver or passenger is unable to file the claim, a third party may do so on their behalf, as long as the corresponding documentation is provided.
