By using Bolt School category within the Emirate of Dubai, the Parent/Guardian agrees to the following Bolt School terms and conditions (the “Bolt School Terms”). These Bolt School Terms supplement and form part of General Terms and Conditions for Passengers in Dubai and Privacy Notice for Passengers.
For Parents / Guardians:
By booking a Bolt School ride for the benefit and use of a child under your care or supervision, you as a Parent or Guardian agree to the following:
1. Age Eligibility
• You represent and warrant that the child using the Bolt School service is between 8 and 17 years of age at the time of the trip.
• Children under the age of 8 are strictly prohibited from using the Bolt School service.
• For children aged 8–11, you confirm that explicit parental or guardian consent for unaccompanied travel has been provided through your acceptance of these Bolt School Terms.
• Children are not permitted to create Bolt user accounts or make bookings.
2. Nature of Service
• The Bolt School allows booking a pre-scheduled, point-to-point transportation service.
• Connectech only facilitates such a transportation service.
• Connectech does not provide guardianship, supervision, companion services, or custodial responsibility at any time.
3. Account and Booking Requirements
• The Bolt user account used to make the booking belongs to you, as Parent or Guardian, and is registered in your name.
• All Bolt School rides must be booked exclusively by you.
• Bolt School rides must be booked at least 30 minutes in advance of the intended pickup time.
• You must remain reachable by telephone during the scheduled trip and for a reasonable period before pickup and after drop-off.
4. Safety PIN
• You must share the Safety Pickup PIN with the child before each trip. The driver will not start the ride unless the correct PIN is provided and verified.
• Driver responsibility for the trip begins only upon successful PIN verification and the child entering the vehicle.
5. Limitation of Driver Responsibility
• The driver’s responsibility is limited to transportation from the pickup location to the drop-off location specified in the booking.
• The driver is not responsible for escorting the child into school premises, ensuring handover to any specific individual, or providing supervision beyond the transportation itself.
6. Parental Responsibility
• You acknowledge that the child will be travelling unaccompanied and you assume all risks associated with such unaccompanied travel.
• You accept full responsibility for the child’s conduct and safety in connection with any Bolt School ride booked under your Bolt user account, including responsibility for all fares, fees, fines, penalties, cleaning charges, damage to vehicles, or other costs arising from the ride.
• Responsibility for the child’s supervision rests solely with you before pickup and after drop-off.
7. Payments
• All payments must be made through your Bolt user account using card or other approved digital payment methods only.
• Cash payments, credits, or prepaid balances are not permitted for Bolt School rides.
8. Suspension and Termination
• Violations of these Bolt School Terms may lead to suspension or termination of your Bolt account and/or access to Bolt School service, at Connectech’s discretion.
9. Liability & Regulatory
• Connectech does not provide guardianship services or assume custody, control, or supervisory responsibility over the child at any point.
• The Parent/Guardian is the sole contracting party in respect of Bolt School rides and bears full legal responsibility for the child’s participation in, and use of, the service.
• By accepting these Bolt School Terms, the Parent/Guardian confirms they have read, understood, and agree to all applicable conditions, including but not limited to age eligibility requirements, safety requirements, service limitations, and the allocation of responsibility and liability set out herein.
