You can refuel your Bolt Drive car free of charge at partner fuel stations shown in the app. The whole process is digital—no fuel cards are needed.
How to refuel the car
- Find a partner fuel station on the map in the Bolt app.
- Use the “Get directions” button in the Bolt app if needed to get to the station.
- Park the car at any available pump.
- Tap the partner station sign on the map in the app, then tap “Start refuelling”. Alternatively, go to the vehicle car, tap the refuel button, then tap “Start refuelling”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Unlock the car and open the fuel cap.
- Complete the verification (Face ID, Touch ID, or Selfie check).
- Select your pump number in the app.
- Tap “Activate nozzle” to start refuelling.
- Return the nozzle when the car is fully fuelled.
- Once done, tap “Finish refuelling” in the app.
What if I refuel before starting the process in the app?
If you start fuelling before initiating it in the app, or choose a different pump, you’ll need to pay for the fuel yourself.
You can request a refund by contacting Support and providing:
- A clear photo of the fuel receipt
- Your bank details
- A short description of the issue
What if the station isn’t shown in the app?
Only stations visible in the app are supported. If you refuel at a non-partner station, you’ll need to pay for the fuelling yourself.
You can still request a refund for refuelling; however, a fee for refuelling outside partner stations will be deducted from your refund.
To do so, provide:
- A clear photo of the receipt
- Your bank details
- The reason why you used a non-partner station
I have an issue with digital fuelling
If you face issues with digital refuelling:
- Check if you are located at the partner station indicated in the app.
- Check that GPS is enabled for the Bolt app.
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app.
- Restart the app.
- If none of these steps help, contact Support via the app.
If you urgently need to refuel to continue your trip, you can pay for the fuel yourself and request a refund. To do so, please contact Support and share:
- A clear photo of the fuel receipt
- Your bank detail
- A short description of the issue
