Lingvist for Bolt Drivers
Estonian law requires all drivers to have a level of proficiency in the Estonian language. To assist with language learning, we have partnered with Lingvist. We ask everyone to take a quick online test to confirm their current skills or get directed to a course. Please note that to uphold the integrity of the testing process, as part of our quality assurance procedures, Bolt may verify language proficiency of drivers by contacting randomly selected drivers via phone following their completion of the language test and submission of the relevant certificate.
What is happening? Why?
We ask everyone to take a quick online test to confirm their current skills. The test evaluates your knowledge of the Estonian vocabulary needed to comfortably communicate with passengers. If you do not pass the test you will get directed to an online language course. Course focuses on vocabulary related to communicating with passengers during rides. The aim is to teach you the needed vocabulary and phrases as quickly and efficiently as possible. Supported languages for the test and course include Estonian, English, Ukrainian, and Russian. If your language isn't listed, choose English.
Next, take the test
Once you download the app and log in you will get an opportunity to take the test. The test evaluates your knowledge of Estonian vocabulary needed to comfortably communicate with passengers. You will receive the certificate to your email address. Please upload it to your Driver Portal. PS! Bolt will not share your data with Lingvist. If you don't speak Estonian or do not pass the test
You need to subscribe to the “Basic Estonian for drivers” course for €35 and you will have 3 months to finish the short course. After finishing the course you will receive the certificate to your email address. Please upload it to your Driver Portal. PS! Bolt will not share your data with Lingvist. Ready to start?
1. Go to the Lingvist for Bolt web page to download the app on your mobile device. 2. Return to the web page and click "Take the test" to pass the test or start learning Estonian. On the app you will see flashcards which test your basic knowledge of Estonian phrases and vocabulary related to ride-hailing services. The test normally takes about 20 minutes, and you can take it only once. It is completely free of charge. PS! Make sure you complete the test once you start it, as interrupting the test will result in an automatic fail.
