When you receive a ride request, check the passenger’s location, journey length, and estimated arrival time. Always drive to the exact pickup spot before confirming your arrival. Update your profile image to accurately reflect your current appearance.

Contact Your Passenger if Needed

If your passenger hasn’t arrived 4–5 minutes after you reach the pickup point, call or text them using the Bolt Driver app. Tap the three stripes in the upper right corner of the active ride screen to find the call option. Don’t contact immediately—give them a few minutes first. Your phone number is always masked for privacy.

Confirm Passenger and Destination

Before starting the ride, confirm the passenger’s name (or pickup code if enabled) and the final destination. This helps avoid confusion, especially with back-to-back rides. Make it a habit to ask, “Is the set destination final?”

Be Polite and Helpful

Greet your passengers with a warm hello and wish them a good day. Offer help with heavy luggage or opening the car door. Small gestures make a big difference and create a positive experience.
