When placing an order with Bolt Food, you can now select delivery by an autonomous robot powered by Starship Technologies. These robots are available from select Bolt Market stores in Tallinn, offering an alternative to traditional human deliveries.
The robots travel on sidewalks at walking speed, ensuring safe delivery. They might take a little longer than a human courier, but they’re always polite — they’ll even say “Tere” when they meet you!
How does robot delivery work?
- Open the Bolt Food app and choose one of the participating Bolt Market stores.
- Choose the 'Robot Delivery' option at checkout.
- Once your order arrives, you’ll receive a notification. Head outside with your phone to unlock the robot using the Bolt Food app.
- Retrieve your groceries from the robot, and you’re all set!
Important Notes:
- Robot delivery orders are cashless, so all payments must be made through the app.
- Alcoholic beverages cannot be ordered via robot delivery due to age verification requirements.
- Robot delivery is a new feature and may have limited availability in certain areas.
