Britain is going out again. But pubs are still disappearing.

New Bolt data shows weekend going-out trips across the UK are up 36% year-on-year, while trips between 9pm and midnight on Saturdays have surged by 41%.

But while people are heading out more, the way they drink and socialise is changing.

According to Drinkaware, 40% of UK adults now drink at home weekly, compared to 21% in pubs, bars and restaurants. More people are choosing to moderate their drinking or socialise in different ways.

That shift is adding to the pressures pubs already face. More than 16,150 pubs have closed across the UK since 2000, with 161 closures recorded in the first three months of 2026 alone.

That's why Bolt and Prime Time Beer have launched Last Orders, a summer-long campaign encouraging people to make their local their first choice again.

To bring the campaign to life, Bolt and Prime Time Beer are hosting a one-night Last Orders pub crawl across South West London on Thursday 4 June.

The evening will spotlight the pubs that continue to play an important role in their local communities, while bringing together pub owners, hospitality voices and industry figures to discuss how Britain's nightlife is changing and what that means for the venues at its heart.

Prime Time Beer will be available throughout the evening, including low-calorie and alcohol-free options, alongside exclusive pub crawl offers. The night will culminate in the inaugural Bolt x Prime Time Sessions live music event at The Boundary.
