This Addendum supplements Bolt’s Platform Terms: Customers (Bolt Standard Ride-Hailing and Taxi Services) (the “Platform Terms”) and takes effect from 12 July 2025.
1. Glossary:
The defined meanings set out in the Platform Terms shall apply. If there is any inconsistency between the aforementioned terms and these Terms, the terms set out in this Addendum shall prevail.
“Family Profile” means a shared account on the Bolt Platform created by an Owner to enable added Members to access services using a shared payment method. The Owner controls membership and has visibility over Member activity, including ride history and payments.
“Members” means individuals added to a Family Profile by the relevant Owner.
“Owners” means individuals who create and manage a Family Profile.
“Shared Payment Method” means a payment method (such as a credit or debit card) selected and managed by the Owner within the Family Profile, which is used to automatically process payments for services ordered by any Member of that Family Profile.
“Trip History” means the record of past journeys (including the details of the pick-up/drop-off locations, timestamps, and fare) associated with a Family Profile, which is visible to both the Owner and all Members of that profile.
2. Owners Obligations
By creating and managing a Family Profile, Owners agree additionally to the following terms:
- You accept full responsibility for all activities conducted through your Family Profile, including those of your Members.
- You are especially responsible for and agree to pay all fines (including e-vehicle parking fines), penalties, and damages incurred by any Member.
- Your Members are authorised to use all services offered on the Bolt platform by using your shared payment method.
- You are liable for all charges incurred by any Member with your selected shared payment method.
- By adding a Member, you confirm they are 18 years of age or older. You accept full responsibility for all actions of added Members and agree to cover any fines (including e-vehicle parking fines), penalties, or damages they may incur.
- You warrant that you have obtained necessary permissions to share Member information with Bolt when managing the Family Profile.
- These Family Profile conditions are governed by Bolt’s Terms and Conditions. Violations by any Member may lead to suspension or termination of the Family Profile and/or individual user accounts.
- Bolt processes your personal data as described in the Privacy Notice for Passengers.
- When services are used in different jurisdictions, you acknowledge that accepting these terms extends to the specific terms and privacy policies applicable in those locations.
- You maintain control over membership by having the ability to remove Members at any time.
- Profile visibility, including ride notifications and trip history, exists between all Members.
3. Member’s Obligations
- You are responsible for all activities conducted through your membership in the Family Profile.
- Your membership permits booking of transportation services and placing orders, with payments automatically processed through the shared payment method set by your Owner.
- By joining the Family Profile, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
- Your usage is subject to Bolt’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice. Violations may affect both the Family Profile and your personal account status.
- Your profile information, rides, fees, fines, invoices, receipts, ride notifications, and spending limits will be visible to the Owner and other Members.
