Bolt commission fee
Bolt charges a 20% commission from the final price per order in Ghana. Commission fee applies to both cash and card rides and cancellation fees. Commission doesn’t apply to tips, bonuses, additional airport, toll fees, or operational fees. Commission is calculated automatically and deducted from the weekly earnings. You can see the sum of the commission fee charged in the Earnings view.
How to pay commissions?
If you have a negative balance, you can pay the commission you owe to Bolt via the mobile in-app transfer. To do so: 1. Slide up on the main menu and select “Today’s Earnings” 2. Under “Balance” select “Lower Your Balance to keep receiving cash trips” 3. Tap “Pay to Bolt” 4. Choose a payment option (your mobile wallet provider) 5. Enter the mobile number you wish to pay with and tap “Request OTP” 6. Input the One Time Passcode (OTP) you receive on your phone and tap “Submit OTP” 7. Tap “Pay now”, then “Proceed” to receive your mobile money PIN authorisation on your phone 8. After authorising the mobile money payment, tap “Confirm payment” Successful payments should automatically be credited to your Driver balance.
