As part of your individual activity, you are required to:

Issue Accounting Documents:

• After providing a service or selling a product, issue an appropriate accounting document. The types of documents you might need include:
• Invoice (if you are not a VAT payer)
• VAT Invoice (if you are a VAT payer)
• Cash Register Receipts (if income is recorded with a cash register)
• Other Accounting Documents (such as payment orders, cash receipts, etc.)

Fill in the Accounting Log:

Maintain an accounting log of income and expenses. If you use a cash register, also fill in the log of cash register operations. Note that this is not necessary if your accounting is handled through i.APS.

Submit Annual Income Tax Return:

By May 1 of the following year, submit your annual income tax return to VMI, even if you did not receive income from individual activities. Ensure you pay any income tax due as calculated in the return.

Deduct and Pay Income Tax on Rent Payments:

From January 1, 2018, if you paid rent to another resident for real estate used in your activity, you must deduct 15% income tax from these payments and declare them to VMI.

Permitted deductions are expenses incurred by the resident in connection with income from individual activities received during the tax period.

Allowable deductions for ongoing activities can be categorized as follows:

Actual Incurred Operating Expenses: These must be substantiated by legally binding documents, such as invoices, VAT invoices, cash register receipts, etc.

Standard Deduction: Alternatively, you can deduct an amount equal to 30% of the income received from individual activities.

Important Notes: Actual Expenses: If you choose to deduct the actual incurred expenses, you must retain legally valid documents to substantiate these expenses.

Standard Deduction: If you opt to allocate 30% of your self-employment income as a deduction, you are not required to provide documentation for this amount.

1. Paid Reverse VAT for Bolt Services:

The VAT paid on services from Bolt (such as commission fees) can be considered a deductible expense if:

• You are not a VAT payer.
• You do not include VAT on the service in your VAT report.

2. Costs of Purchase, Repair, and Operation of Fixed Assets:

Fixed Assets: Assets used to earn income from individual activities for more than one year and with a purchase price above the minimum set by the resident must be declared using Form FR0457 provided by VMI.

Short-Term Assets: Assets used for less than one year are included as deductions in the tax period in which they are used.

Declaration of Fixed Assets:

Fixed assets must be declared on Form FR0457 before use. Include both new and previously used assets. If a fixed asset is no longer in use, indicate this on the form. Short-term assets do not need to be declared on this form.

Acquisition and Depreciation:

Costs for acquiring fixed assets, including depreciation, can be deducted if:

The asset is owned or obtained through a purchase-sale or finance lease agreement.

Depreciation is calculated according to the relevant rates (e.g., 4 years for cars up to 5 years old, 10 years for older cars) and reported on Form FR0457.

Conditional depreciation applies if the asset is classified as a business asset in a different tax period.

Installation of Gas Equipment:

Costs for installing gas equipment in a car used for individual activities can be deducted based on the percentage of use specified in Form FR0457.

Car Insurance, Repairs, and Other Expenses:

Costs for insurance, repairs, technical inspections, and other car-related expenses can be deducted based on the percentage of use specified in Form FR0457. These expenses must be supported by legally binding documents.

Fuel Costs:

Fuel expenses can be deducted if:

You have purchase documents (a receipt is sufficient for purchases up to €150).

The car is listed on Form FR0457.

Fuel use is recorded and related to income-generating activities.

3. Communication Services (Mobile Internet, Phone Calls):

Telephone and internet costs can be claimed as deductions, even if the phone or tablet is not listed on Form FR0457.

Keep a free-form accounting document for phone and internet expenses, indicating their use for business purposes.

4. PSD and VSD Contributions:

Contributions determined by Lithuanian law for individuals engaged in self-employment can be claimed as deductions.

5. Pollution Tax:

If applicable, pollution tax may be classified as an allowable deduction, as it is not explicitly listed as a disallowed expense.

If you choose to allocate actual incurred expenses as allowed deductions, ensure that the supporting documents, such as invoices, VAT invoices, and cash register receipts, are collected and maintained. These documents must be kept for at least 10 years.

According to Clause 2.7 of the Rules for Issuing and Recognition of Accounting Documents Used to Calculate Taxes (hereinafter referred to as "the Rules"), expenses can be recognized based on invoices or VAT invoices only if they include:

Supplier Information:

Code of the supplier (if the supplier is an individual, include the VAT payer's code; if not available, include the personal code or the number of the individual activity certificate).

Buyer Information:

Name and code of the buyer (if the buyer is an individual, include the name, surname, and VAT payer code; if not available, include the personal code or the number of the individual activity certificate).

A cash register receipt is sufficient for justifying expenses in the following cases:

Goods or Services:

The value of the goods or services, including VAT, does not exceed €100.

Fuel Purchases: The value of the fuel, including VAT, does not exceed €150.

The receipt must include identifying information for the buyer, such as a personal identification number or individual activity certificate number.

There is no limit on the number of receipts you can submit as long as each receipt falls within the specified maximum values.

• The car must be registered in Lithuania.
• The car must be in good technical condition and clean both outside and inside.
• The car must have at least 4 doors and 5 seats.
• The car cannot have taxi markings.
• The license plate format must be ABC 123 (unless the car is registered in the taxi category).

Reverse charge VAT is a tax paid on Bolt's commission fee. Reverse charge VAT is paid directly to the State Tax Service, not to Bolt. Drivers who are self-employed are responsible for paying taxes to the state on their own. VAT is paid only on the BOLT commission fee, not on the trip amount. Every month, while you are operating through the Bolt platform, we send you a monthly invoice to your email. The line Total incl. VAT (EUR) indicates the amount of Bolt commission fee, from which the state must submit and pay 21% reverse charge VAT by the 25th of the following month.

For example, you were charged €512.72 in Bolt commission during the month. The Total incl. VAT (EUR) line of the monthly invoice will also indicate the amount of €512.72. From this amount, you must calculate the 21% “reverse” VAT, which will be €107.67. You must declare and pay this tax to the state budget no later than the 25th of the following month.

Yes, every month you must declare and pay 21% reverse charge VAT to the State Tax Inspectorate on the Bolt commission fee, which is included in the monthly invoice sent to your mailbox in the Total incl. VAT line.

For example, you were charged €512.72 in Bolt commission during the month. The Total incl. VAT (EUR) line of the monthly invoice will also indicate the amount of €512.72. From this amount you must calculate 21% reverse charge VAT, which will be €107.67. You must declare and pay this tax to the state budget no later than the 25th of the following month. Meets the requirements of the Bolt or Basic category. If you want to find out whether the car that is registered on the platform and with which you want to operate meets the requirements of the category, please contact us by e-mail: drivers@bolt-drivers.com

Each car registered on the platform can be added to this category if the driver agrees to transport a package rather than a passenger, since this category is only for packages delivered by passengers. We remind you that in order to obtain this category, the driver must be able to communicate with the passenger in Lithuanian or English (if requested, to provide a certificate proving the appropriate language level and not have feedback from passengers about communication problems during the trip).

The Delivery category order is carried out as usual: the passenger calls the car for a trip from point A to point B. At point A, the sender meets the driver and hands him a small package. At point B, the recipient meets the driver and picks up the package from the car.

TIPS FOR SMOOTHER TRIPS

We would like to share some tips on how to proceed in situations where you encounter an unsuccessful Bolt Send trip:

If upon arrival at the exact delivery location, the recipient of the package is not waiting for you at the specified point, wait 15 minutes and do not complete the trip. Try to contact the person who ordered the trip through the app using the call/message functions.

The person who ordered the trip may ask you to wait longer or return the package to the pickup location.

After the successful delivery of the package, complete the trip, and if you do not agree with the trip price, complete the trip in the comments section, indicating the details of the situation. Enter the amount that corresponds to the trip price, considering the time spent and the distance traveled.

Also, after the trip, contact the customer service team, indicating the problems you encountered, so that the trip price can be confirmed taking into account the situation.

If within 15 minutes of arriving at the pickup location, you have not been able to contact the person who ordered the trip via the app using the call/message function and have not received additional instructions on where the package should be delivered, end the trip by reviewing the trip and describe the situation you encountered in the comments section. Enter the amount that corresponds to the cost of the trip, taking into account the time spent and the distance traveled.

Inform the customer service team about the situation. During the next 24 hours, while you have the opportunity to contact the person who ordered the trip - try to do this at least several times.

If you do not receive additional information from the customer service team or the person who ordered the trip, after 24 hours, deliver the package to the nearest police station.

Inform the customer service team at which police station you left the package.

If a passenger hands you a suspicious package:

Do not accept the order and cancel and do not transport it. (do not click Start trip, but cancel it)

If it so happened that you are already transporting a shipment, click End trip, inform the customer service team and contact the nearest police station, we cooperate with the police.

If such a trip is canceled or ended early and the driver's score drops, we will restore the score, but be sure to inform the team.

We hope that you will not encounter any problems, but if they do arise - always write to us!

The Bolt category includes cars that meet the following two conditions:

1. Bolt category cars must meet the updated requirements

Cars whose models meet the new requirements will be included in the Bolt category in Vilnius. For example, Toyota Prius MK3, Toyota Prius Plus, Toyota Auris (from 2012), Volkswagen Passat (from 2005), Skoda Superb (from 2008), Toyota Verso (from 2009), Volkswagen Jetta (from 2005), Opel Insignia (from 2008), Toyota Corolla (from 2006), Volkswagen Golf (from 2008). The year from which the qualifying car model was released is indicated in brackets.

1. Cars whose models do not meet the updated Bolt category requirements will be assigned the Basic category. A car can be assigned to only one of these two categories (Bolt or Basic), but can have additional categories, such as: XL, With pet, Child seat, Parcel, Assist.

2. Drivers of Bolt category cars must be able to communicate fluently with the client in Lithuanian or English.

Only drivers who are able to communicate fluently with passengers in Lithuanian or English will be able to operate in the updated Bolt category. Drivers whose driver's license was issued in a foreign country and whose language skills do not meet the Bolt standard for this category will be able to obtain the Bolt category only after submitting a certificate proving their English language skills issued by a specified English language proficiency school and having no poor feedback related to language skills in their driver's account.

If the car model meets the new Bolt category requirements, but the driver does not have the language skills appropriate for the Bolt category, such a car will be assigned the Basic category.

The car must meet the general requirements specified above. The car's entry into this category depends on the car model and year, for example, the Bolt category includes:

All cars that previously had the Bolt category but do not meet the new Bolt category criteria will be included in the Basic category. Drivers of cars assigned to the Basic category will still be asked to provide a certificate proving basic English language skills. Even older cars will not be accepted into the Basic category.

A person who can become a Bolt fleet owner is:

• A registered UAB, MB or individual entrepreneur (Business code: IV 771000. Business name: Rental and leasing of motor vehicles);
• Who has a valid personal identification document.

Not only Toyota Prius cars are suitable, but also other car models such as Opel, Kia, Volkswagen, etc. After sending the registration, a responsible person will contact you and then you will have the opportunity to ask whether your cars are suitable for becoming the owner of the Bolt car fleet.

Cars must have passed a technical inspection, have a LTSA permit to carry passengers, be clean, tidy, the interior and exterior must be in order, i.e. without scratches, cracks. Passengers must feel safe inside, so we recommend checking whether the seat belts are working and whether there are any sharp protruding parts.

By registering your fleet with Bolt:

• you can track the location of your rental cars in real time,
• you can register cars and drivers yourself, track their trips, and income,
• you can also track other data in your administrative account (driver ratings, booking score, daily or weekly advanced reports).
• you are periodically financially encouraged for growth and overall performance.

We present a list of documents that drivers must present to LTSA officers during the inspection, as well as information on the form in which each document must be carried:

Driving license (original document) (Except for the cases specified in Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Road Traffic Safety, when the driver of a motor vehicle is not required to carry the relevant documents);

Vehicle registration certificate (original document) (Except for the cases specified in Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Road Traffic Safety, when the driver of a motor vehicle is not required to carry the relevant documents);

Report on the results of the mandatory technical inspection of the vehicle* (original document) (Except for the cases specified in Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Road Traffic Safety, when the driver of a motor vehicle is not required to carry the relevant documents);

Certificate (policy) of compulsory civil liability insurance for owners and operators of vehicles (original document or electronic copy) (Except for the cases specified in Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Road Traffic Safety, when the driver of a motor vehicle is not required to carry relevant documents);

Individual activity certificate: activity no. 493900 (original document or electronic copy);

Document confirming that the carrier legally operates the vehicle, if the vehicle does not belong to the carrier by right of ownership (original document or electronic copy);

Document (certificate or extract) of the Department of Informatics and Communications under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania on criminal record (no criminal record) issued no less than one year ago;

Medical certificate issued no less than one year ago by the Republican Center for Addictive Diseases (original document or electronic copy);

*For vehicles used for passenger transport for remuneration on request, mandatory technical inspection must be performed:

1) every 6 months, if their service life from the date of first registration is 5 years or more;

2) every 12 months, if their service life from the date of first registration is up to 5 years.

**If you do not own the car - also have a lease agreement with you!

LTSA officers will also ask you to provide documents proving your transport activity on the platform. When asked to provide the documents listed below, you must show an active driver account / information available in the Driver Portal:

Cash receipts, if payments were made in cash (driver portal section "Passenger invoices");

Data on contracts concluded by the carrier with passengers for the carriage of passengers for remuneration (driver app);

Cooperation agreement between the carrier and the passenger transportation organizer (driver's app).

Do not forget that when carrying out activities, you must have carrier identification plates on your car. The plates affixed to the lower right corner of the front window and the upper right corner of the rear window must be clearly visible from the outside, and the length and width of the plate itself cannot be less than 100 mm. The number of the issued individual activity certificate must be entered in the white rectangle at the bottom of the plate.

Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration officers on Lithuanian roads may stop you and ask you to provide documents that are necessary for the performance of your transport activity.

The only fee paid to Bolt is the commission fee:

In Vilnius, Kaunas, Trakai – 25%

In Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Alytus, Palanga, Nida – 20%

In Marijampolė, Mažeikiai, Kėdainiai – 15%

In other cities – 10%

The commission fee does not apply to tips, payments, additional airport or other fees. The commission fee is allocated for each trip, calculated and is automatically deducted.

Every month, Bolt sends you an invoice for the services provided.

Invoice — is a summary where you will see your earnings, bonuses received and commission deducted for all trips made in the previous month.

Invoices are created by our system and sent to drivers during the first three days of the month.

Below you will find a detailed explanation of the invoice:

Commission fee — is a fee applied to all trips you have made during the specified period;

Booking fee — is an additional booking fee that is charged when booking from the airport. This fee is added to the trip price and is paid by the passenger;

Account balance — the top of the table shows the account balance you had at the beginning of the month, and the bottom shows the balance you have at the end of the month. If the balance at the end of the month is positive, it will be paid with the next payment (and will be added to the Payments line next month);

Mobile Payments Amount – the amount you received for trips that were not paid in cash;

Compensations – the amount of compensations added to you during the specified period;

Period Bills – this is the section where you will see the amount of applied commission and booking fees, minus any bonuses or compensations you received;

Payments – the amount of all payments paid to you by bank transfer during the specified period;

Total – the amount of Bolt commission applied (equal to the amount in the Period Bills section);

VAT – 0%.

You must pay VAT on this amount (you must pay reverse charge VAT to the State Tax Service on the Bolt commission fee, which is provided in the Total line, every month).

Due – if this amount is equal to 0.00, you do not owe anything, so no action is required. If the amount is not equal to 0.00, the missing amount should be transferred to Bolt’s bank account.

Important: except for refunds to the customer, commission and booking fee, there are no additional fees that would be deducted from your account.

At the bottom of the monthly invoice you receive, you will usually see the line Need to pay: X.XX €. This is not the amount from which you have to pay reverse VAT to the state.

This line indicates your debt to Bolt for the commission fee. If you see 0.00 € in this line, your balance is in order and the payment with Bolt was successful.

If a different amount appears in the line, you probably had more trips in cash than by card last month and Bolt was unable to automatically deduct the commission fee for all trips made.

If this happens, make a transfer to the specified bank account or contact us by email at drivers@bolt-drivers.com or via the driver app.

We inform you that the commission fee will be applied depending on the city in which you carry out transportation activities, for example:

• If your account is registered in Šiauliai city, where the commission fee is 20%, but you travel in Kėdainiai city, where the commission fee is 15%, then the difference for the trips made in Kėdainiai city will be compensated, for example. if you have made trips for 100 euros in Kėdainiai city, you will be compensated 5 euros (5% difference).
• Also, if your account is registered in Šiauliai city, where the commission fee is 20%, but you travel in Vilnius city, where the commission fee is 25%, then the difference for the trips made in Vilnius city will be deducted, for example. if you have made trips for 100 euros in Vilnius city, you will be deducted 5 euros (5% difference).

The letter presents income as net income. This is all payments you received through the Bolt platform: travel prices after deduction of commission (paid both in cash and by card), as well as compensation, tips and other payments.

If you rent a car and rental payments are automatically deducted, they are included in net income, not platform payments.

For drivers, this includes a commission fee and an order fee – fees for the Bolt platform (excluding car rental fees), other deductions.

For couriers, this includes a thermal bag deposit (if you received the bag from us, not purchased in an e-shop), deductions for undelivered or mixed orders, and individual cases (e.g., if too much cash was taken from a customer).

Income is attributed to the quarter in which it was paid - a quarter consists of three months: Quarter 1: January, February, March Quarter 2: April, May, June Quarter 3: July, August, September Quarter 4: October, November, December

In-app payments, compensation and other benefits are attributed to the quarter in which they were paid out with the weekly payout, and cash payments are attributed to the quarter in which they were received.

Please note that Bolt has submitted a DAC7 report to the Estonian Tax Authority (EMTA), which is responsible for the automatic transmission of this data to other local tax authorities. Neither Bolt nor other platform operators are involved in this process, and the exact date of transmission of information depends on the tax authority.

The DAC7 directive is not a substitute for your personal income tax return. Income in the letter is reported as net, and when declaring income, you must consider the gross income (gross) including platform taxes.

We also remind you that you can revise your submitted income tax returns (form GPM311) by adjusting the declaration data and submitting it again.

If taxpayers, when adjusting the declaration data, declare higher income amounts than were previously submitted and uploaded to the declaration - no additional documents are required. However, if the declaration is updated by submitting lower amounts - documents substantiating the data correction must be attached to the declaration.
