How contributions work with Bolt
- From 15 October 2026, 3:00 PM (Malaysia time), Bolt will deduct your PERKESO contribution automatically. You do not need to do anything.
- A contribution of 1.25% of your net trip earnings (trip fare minus Bolt commission) is deducted automatically per completed trip. Tips, bonuses and tolls are not deducted.
- Example: On a RM50.00 fare, your net earnings after Bolt's commission are RM40.75, and the PERKESO deduction is RM0.51.
- You will see it in the earnings breakdown in the Bolt Driver app.
- Deductions build up in your gig wallet until they reach your plan's annual contribution. Bolt pays them to PERKESO monthly on your behalf.
- The contribution is paid by the Driver only. Bolt does not currently reimburse or sponsor contributions.
- Deductions use Plan 1 (RM157.20 a year) by default. You can move to a higher plan if enough has accumulated, or by topping up in the PERKESO Prihatin app.
For more information, see the PERKESO self-employment protection page.
Registration
Bolt has registered Drivers with PERKESO for you. You do not need to register yourself.
If you already have a PERKESO plan, it stays active, and deductions will also apply.
If you think you are not registered, or you were told your registration failed, contact Bolt Support in the app.
