Bolt drivers in Germany must provide the documents listed below to be considered for driving on the platform.
Before sending us any documents, you must first be registered in the Fleets Portal by a Fleet Owner.
Once you are registered there, the registration process can be completed by your Fleet Owner, or you can continue the registration yourself by asking the Fleet owner to send you the registration link.
Please carefully follow the instructions below to have your documents successfully reviewed for account activation.

Driving licence
Please ensure that the full document is visible, clear, and in colour.
- Driving license (front side):
- Must be a photograph showing the front of a current German plastic driving licence
- Must be a full licence, not provisional
- The document must be original, we do not accept copies
- The driving licence must verify that the driver is at least 21 years old

- Must be a photograph showing the back of a current German plastic driving licence

Note: Driver’s licenses will be accepted from: countries within the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Ukraine* (as a temporary exception, valid from May 2023).
P-Schein
Please provide a photograph of each part of the P-Shein document. You must ensure that all information is clearly visible, the photograph is in colour, and follows all of the requirements below.
- P-schein (front side) / P-Schein Titelseite
- Unfold and open the document so that both pages on the outside are fully visible in the photograph
- Must belong to the relevant registration - the name on the P-Shein must match the driving licence
- If you are driving a Private Hire vehicle, the picture should show the term “Mietwagen” on the P-schein document
- If you are driving a yellow taxi, the picture should show the terms “Taxi” and “Mietwagen” on the P-schein document
- P-schein (inside) / P-Schein Innenseite:
- Unfold and open the document so that both pages on the inside are fully visible in the photograph
- The date must be valid
- The document must show the licence category (e.g. B or C).
