Bolt is offering free rides to essential service workers

Healthcare workers are our heroes and we stand with them during this difficult period. We want to make sure that with everything they have going on in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, moving to and from work is as hassle-free as possible.

Rides that help

We understand that during the lockdown, it can be complicated for essential workers to get to work in a way that is fast and safe. Our desire is to thank them for their extraordinary efforts by kickstarting a program to offer FREE Bolt rides to doctors, nurses, pharmacists and emergency first responders in the most affected cities in Ghana.

To make sure that the only beneficiaries of this initiative are our health workers, all rides taken under this initiative will be commission-free.

While this is only a small gesture compared to the enormity of the work at hand, our hope is that these rides would provide some needed relief.

Want to partner with us?

There are thousands of healthcare workers needing to move to and from work every day in the fight against COVID-19. The truth is, we can’t do it alone. To make a real difference, we are inviting partners to sponsor rides for medical staff. If your organisation or a business you know wants to be part of our initiative to help those on the front line by covering the cost of travel for more healthcare workers, please fill out this form and we’ll get in touch.

Stay safe!

Healthcare personnel are working hard to keep our communities safe.

Please follow the recommendations of the World Health Organisation and Ghana Health Service and only leave your home if you must.

Remember to do the five — wash your hands often, cough into bent elbows, avoid touching your face, maintain a distance of 3 feet from others and stay home if you feel ill.

Stay safe!
