As a driver, you can register your vehicle to drive if you have all the required documents. Please be advised that a driver can only activate one car at a time and once you submit a new car application, you need to contact our support team to notify and submit EVP cancellation for the old vehicle. 1. What must I do? Log into your Bolt Driver App. 2. What must I have available? - Road Tax: Must be valid. - Car Grant/VOC: Proof of vehicle ownership. - E-hailing Insurance: Mandatory for all drivers. - PUSPAKOM Certificate: Required if vehicle is over 3 years old. 3. How long does it take? Our team will verify your vehicle application in 5-7 working days and you will get notification in the app for update. If you need further assistance, do contact our Support team. 4. How much does it cost? No cost for linking your car with Bolt. Steps:

1. Go to the Help section
2. Select Manage Vehicles
3. Choose Add New Car
4. Enter the car’s license plate number
5. Click Continue
6. Fill in the car details (manufacturer, year of manufacture, model, color, etc.)
7. Select Next
8. Upload the required documents
9. Click Confirm

Important FAQ about Car Applications

The document requirements are:

  • Road Tax: Must be valid.
  • Car Grant/VOC: A document issued to prove vehicle ownership during purchase or name changes.
  • E-hailing Insurance Cover Note: Mandatory for all drivers engaged in e-hailing activities.
  • PUSPAKOM Inspection Certificate: Required only if the vehicle is over 3 years old.

Once your vehicle is approved, our team will apply for an EVP permit for your new vehicle. You will be notified when the EVP is approved by APAD. It usually takes about 5 - 7 working days.

Yes, you can use a rental car, provided it meets the app’s eligibility requirements. You must submit proof, such as a letter of agreement, along with the necessary documents to get the vehicle approved. Only vehicles classified as "persendirian" (private) are accepted.

If your application is rejected, the app will notify you of the reason. Rejection may occur due to:

  • Missing or incorrect documents.
  • The vehicle failed to meet the required standards.
  • Other issues specific to the application.

You can submit multiple applications but our team will only approve one application due to drivers can only activate one car.

Vehicles classified as taxis are not accepted for now. Bolt only accepted vehicles that are private (persendirian) type only.

Approval times vary depending on the completeness of your documents and the verification process. Ensure all required documents are correctly submitted to expedite the process.

It typically takes 5 to 7 working days if all required documents are complete.
