E-hailing Vehicle Permit
E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) is a permit that allows a private vehicle to operate as an E-Hailing Vehicle.
In West Malaysia, the commercial vehicle licensing provider is known as APAD (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat), while in East Malaysia, it is known as LPKP (Lembaga Pelesenan Kenderaan Perdagangan).

Requirements for EVP Application/ Renewal

The vehicle must not be older than 15 years.

The vehicle owner must be a Malaysian Citizen or a Permanent Resident who is not deceased.

Company IDS are not allowed

The vehicle body type must not be a "pick-up" in West Malaysia

The vehicle in JPJ code must be either "AB" or "AD". For renewals, the code must be "AH" (Persendirian E-hailing Individu).
EVP Application & Cancellation West Malaysia

After the documents are uploaded and successfully verified by our team, the EVP application will be processed in the system and this process will take about 5 working days to get approved.

​When a driver wishes to change their current e-hailing vehicle to a different vehicle/new vehicle or discontinuing E-hailing service, it is required for the driver to fill in the EVP Cancellation Declaration Form to cancel their existing EVP.​​

Note: We currently allow only one active vehicle in the system. Once your new vehicle’s E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) is approved, your old vehicle’s EVP will be cancelled.
Two types of cancellation

Temporary Cancellation

Not interested in driving with Bolt but still active with another e-hailing platform.

Rental Car
Action from Bolt:
We will proceed with temporary cancellation.
Permanent Cancellation
-
Car age more than 15 years
-
Car owner deceased
-
Change of vehicle ownership details

No longer interested in e-hailing

Action from Bolt:

We will proceed with permanent cancellation. But if rejected because your vehicle is active on another e-hailing platform, Bolt will automatically proceed with temporary cancellation as required by APAD.
