Register a vehicle as a taxi
- You are registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a taxi company.
- You have a taxi license issued by the Kiwa Register.
- The vehicle you are using is:
- Registered in your own name, if you are self-employed, or
- Registered in the name of a legal entity, such as your limited company or private limited company, or
- Registered in the name of a vehicle owned by another person, such as a leasing company. In that case, you sign a joint declaration.
- Your vehicle is a passenger car with European type approval, approved as a taxi. This taxi approval was arranged through the importer. Therefore, your vehicle does not need to be included in the registration. Not sure if your vehicle already has taxi approval? Call the RDW (Netherlands Vehicle Authority) to check.
Read all about registering your vehicle as a taxi on the RDW website.
