The TX-keur certificate is a quality mark for Dutch taxi companies, drivers, vehicles, and services. It assesses safety, customer service, punctuality, and more. The certificate is issued by the TX-keur Foundation.

Step 1
Go Through the TX-keur Checklist
Begin your TX-keur application by reviewing the official checklist to ensure you meet all requirements.
Step 2
Request Payment Behavior Statement
Request a Payment Behavior Statement from the Dutch Tax Authorities.
Step 3
Create an Account at TX-keur Academy
Request login details for TX-Keur Academy — you will receive your credentials within 24 hours
Step 4
Complete the TX Refresher Course, 2026
Complete the free, mandatory annual TX-Keur refresher training.
Step 5
Take out passenger insurance
Take out additional cover for all your passengers. You can choose between passenger accident insurance or passenger damage insurance. Takes about 1 day.
Step 6
Take out business liability insurance
Obtain business liability insurance for your taxi. This step typically takes 1 day.

Step 7
Levensreddend Handelen (LrH)
This course is delivered on the course day itself — drivers do not need to arrange it separately in advance.
Step 8
Make an Appointment at IIVN
IIVN will send you the invoice / payment link → after payment the driver you are registered on the IIVN portal → when you are registered you will receive a URL to upload your documents.
Step 9
Complete the Inspection Day
The inspection day, including the course, usually takes around 4 hours. Please make sure to come prepared and have all the required documents ready.
If you have already requested any of the required documents from the relevant authorities but have not received them yet, please contact Customer Support in advance to check whether you can still attend the certification day.

Gather these general documents. Each must be no older than 4 months.
Chamber of Commerce extract (max. 4 months old)
Declaration regarding payment behaviour from the Tax Authorities (max. 4 months old)
Copy of valid Taxi Transport permit (max. 4 months old)

Current fleet overview (type, license plate, year of manufacture, equipment, mileage)
Maintenance file per vehicle (date, work done, company name or technician)
Insurance

Make sure you have valid insurance documents and proof of payment.
Business liability insurance (minimum coverage €1,000,000) + proof of payment
Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance + proof of payment
Passenger accident insurance
Minimum coverage €10,000 in case of death
Minimum coverage €30,000 in case of permanent disability
