Our mission

The why behind every Bolt product and service.

Making cities for people, not cars

Shared mobility frees people from the need to own a car by offering smart, sustainable alternatives to private vehicles, all in one app.

Today, private vehicles occupy up to 60% of urban land, yet they sit idle 95% of the time. That’s space that could serve people, not parking.

As the global urban population is set to double by 2050, this imbalance becomes unsustainable. More people will live in cities that were never built to support such high car density.

We’re working with cities across Europe to reduce private car use and reclaim space for people. This is the first step towards safer, more liveable streets.

Every ride counts

A ride with Bolt supports local communities and helps power a more accessible urban economy.
Shared trips ease congestion and emissions while helping over 4.5 million driver and courier partners generate income on their own terms — funding local mobility projects and expanding access to earning opportunities for women.
