Bolt scooters offer an affordable way to get around the city in Malaysia. The total ride cost includes a small unlock fee and a per-minute rate that may vary depending on your location. Frequent riders can save with weekly and monthly passes. Before starting a trip, you can check the current pricing directly in the Bolt app.

First, download the Bolt app and create an account. Once set up, use the in-app map to locate a nearby scooter. When you find one, scan the QR code on the scooter to unlock it. Push off with one foot to start moving, then use the throttle to ride.

You can rent a Bolt electric scooter near you by opening the Bolt app and checking the real-time map showing all available scooter rentals in your area in Malaysia. The app will guide you to the nearest scooter; you can even reserve it in advance so it’s there when you arrive.

Always wear a helmet before riding. Place one foot on the scooter deck, and push off with the other. As you gain momentum, gently press the throttle to accelerate. Use the handlebars to steer and the hand brake to slow down or stop. Always ride with care and follow traffic rules to stay safe.
