Frequently asked questions

What’s an e-bike?

An e-bike, also known as an electric bike, is a bicycle that's powered by an electric motor and battery. It provides assistance to riders, making it easier to travel greater distances with less effort.

An e-bike has an electric motor and battery that provide powered assistance to riders. It works like a bicycle, but you can get extra power from the motor when needed.

To ride a Bolt e-bike, ensure all components are in working order. Then, adjust the saddle to your body size, hop on, and start pedalling just as you would on a normal bike. The motor will kick in, and you'll feel a boost of power.

A Bolt e-bike can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The default maximum speed can be changed in the app from 15 km/h to 25 km/h.
