Cold, wind, and snow. No, that’s not the name of a new R&B band — it’s the annual struggle we all face. Some people use cars with heated seats to stay warm, but that comes with baggage: parking hassles, traffic jams, and unexpected expenses. And freezing temperatures don’t just hit your thighs — they can drain your car battery, too.
So, Bolt’s Department of Life Enhancement decided enough is enough. Instead of relying on personal cars just to stay warm, we’re taking the heat out of the driver’s seat and putting it where it belongs. Introducing: Heated Jeans. Yes, really. Because getting around shouldn’t require owning a car.
Commuting in the cold: like regular commuting, but with extra suffering
Cold weather can turn the everyday commute into an extreme sport:
Waiting for the bus? You hop from foot to foot, trying not to turn into an icicle.
Riding a bike? Risking frostbite while questioning all your life choices.
Layering up for a 15-minute walk? You look like a Michelin Man and sweat like you’re in a hot yoga class.
Many people think cars are the solution to chill. But they come with their own set of problems:
Frozen fingers from clearing icy windshields
Sky-high fuel costs
The hassle of changing tyres
And worst of all — your car refusing to start in the cold
Your butt deserves better.
Introducing: Heated Jeans
Heated Jeans are here to keep you warm whether you’re standing, biking, or walking. Your legs stay toasty — without needing to own a car.
To make this happen, we teamed up with rising Estonian designer, Toomas Samuel Silbaum, to create jeans that warm you up even on the coldest days.
Heated Jeans 101
Made from 100% cotton fabric, sourced from an old factory warehouse, where it’s been waiting for its moment — for about a decade.
Each pair features a whopping 21 pockets.
Printed with double-layered black thermochromic ink — when the temperature rises above 32°C, the black ink turns transparent, revealing green pockets and a Bolt logo.
Heated by regular heating pads (the kind you can grab from any store). Just pop them into the pockets, and boom — instant warmth and colour-changing pockets activated.
Commuting — a fight you can win
Commuting in bad weather doesn’t have to be a battle between freezing and spending a fortune on a car.
Heated Jeans prove you can stay warm — without the baggage of vehicle ownership.
No more sweating after bundling up. No more turning into a human icicle. And no more sacrificing sustainability for comfort.
So, ditch the heated seats but keep the warmth.
And hey — if you still need a ride, the Bolt app’s got you covered. Because when it comes to getting around, riding is the new driving.
