Bolt launches in Odense

We’re excited to announce the news that we’ve launched our micromobility service in the Belgian capital, bringing our affordable and safe scooters to the so-called Capital of Europe.

As the leading European transportation platform, our mission is to make urban travel more affordable, convenient, and responsible. Driving greater scooter adoption is key to that, helping cities improve air quality, reduce CO2 emissions and cut congestion.

Bolt’s micromobility services are now available in over 100 cities!

A closer look at Bolt Scooters

Bolt scooters:

  • are powered by hardware and software developed 100% in-house. This allows us to quickly source and repair 100% of scooter parts;
  • are made of aluminium and are 100% recyclable;
  • can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h;
  • if you’re new to scooter riding, try our Beginner Mode — it will limit the top speed to 15 km/h. Once you feel more comfortable, you can switch back to the regular mode to get where you’re going faster;
  • Bolt electric scooter has a range of up to 40 km on a single charge.

How much does it cost to ride a Bolt scooter?

To celebrate the launch of our micromobility service in Brussels, you can unlock Bolt scooters for free and ride for as low as €0.01 per minute until the 1st of July.

With these prices, it means that getting, for example, from Grand Place to Brussels Park will cost you around €0.06.

How to rent a Bolt scooter

To start using the service, you need to download the Bolt app and tie your debit/credit card to your account. Once you set up your account, follow these simple steps:

  • Open the app;
  • Find the nearest scooter on the map;
  • If you are a bit too far from the scooter, you can reserve it to make sure that no one else takes it;
  • Scan the QR code to unlock the scooter and enjoy the ride!

When you’re finished, park your scooter safely and end your ride in the app.

Before you start the ride, we highly recommend checking the Safety tips that are a part of our Safety toolkit. You can access it by pressing the green shield icon on the screen. We also recommend that you bring and wear a helmet for your safety.
