Family Profiles let you pay for rides for your loved ones without having to book them yourself.
No more ordering on their behalf, sending screenshots, or hoping the driver finds them. With Family Profiles, you can cover their rides, track and manage spending, and monitor ongoing rides while they book trips independently through their own Bolt app.

What you can do with Family Profiles

If you’re regularly covering rides for others and want less hassle, more peace of mind, and better control over your budget, Family Profiles are for you. 

  • Charge one account for up to 9 members.
  • Set and edit monthly spending limits.
  • Get live updates about members’ rides.
  • See members’ ride history and trip details.

How to set it up

Setting up Family Profiles is free and takes less than a minute.

  1. Open the Bolt app and go to the Payment section.
  2. Tap Create Family Profile.
  3. Choose your payment method and set optional spending limits for each member.
  4. Send an invite link to up to 9 people you'd like to add.
  5. Done! Family Profile members can now request rides, while you cover the cost and get real-time ride updates..

Family Profiles are rolling out across Bolt ride-hailing cities starting June 2025. Keep an eye on your app (and make sure it’s up to date) to get access as soon as it lands in your area.
