Getting around just got easier — you can now access MILES car-sharing directly from the Bolt app! Rent a car in 11 German cities with ease.

We see a clear trend in people moving away from car ownership and towards shared mobility.
An Oliver Wyman study, commissioned by Bolt, found that over ⅓ of Europeans are prepared to give up their private cars. This figure rises to 40% among those aged 18–34, highlighting a generational trend toward shared mobility solutions.
This makes our MILES partnership especially timely, given the remarkable increase in car rental users observed by MILES and BOLT.

Renting a car for short or long trips is easier than ever:
As mentioned above, we have 2 pricing options for MILES car-sharing: pay-as-you-go and pre-paid packages.

Ideal for shorter rides or if you don’t know how long you’ll need a car. With this option, you’ll only be charged for the time and distance you travel.
The PAYG fee includes free reservation time to reach, locate, and unlock the car.
Please note: a €1 ride-starting fee will be added to your total. This helps us cover operational costs, ensuring you have the smoothest experience possible.
Packages are ideal for longer trips. Choose the time and distance you plan to cover, and you’ll know the total cost upfront — making it easier to plan your budget.
With pre-paid packages, the reservation time and ride-starting fee are both included in the price.
If you’re unsure how long you’ll need a car, start your rental at the standard pay-as-you-go rate. If an hourly or daily package ends up being cheaper than paying per kilometre, we’ll apply the lower rate to your ride.
No matter which option you choose, the cost displayed in the app is final and includes fuel, insurance, and parking (within the service area indicated on the Bolt app map).
