Bolt u Zbaražu

Zbarazh (first mentioned in 1211) is a small by modern Ukrainian standards city; about 13.5k people live there. It is the center of Zbarazkyi raion, located near Ternopil (at a distance of 17 km). However, this shouldn’t stop you from visiting it, as it is included into the list of top 39 cities with the largest number of historical monuments in Ukraine. And that’s all because throughout the history of the formation of the statehood of the Ukrainian people Zbarazh occupied an important place (from faraway times of the Regnum Russiæ to the WUPR). Be sure to visit Zbarazkyi Castle, a fortification designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi and built in 1626-1631 under the guidance of Andrea dell’Aqua. It is now restored and open to tourists and residents.
