Bolt is officially nationwide! For the first time, passengers in 21 additional counties can book a trip with just a tap in the Bolt app.

Starting today, reliable, on-demand transport is expanding to regional towns and rural areas — including Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Donegal, Kerry, and Wexford. This marks one of the largest single rollouts of mobility services in Ireland to date.

Expanding access to reliable transport

While Bolt already operates in Dublin and Cork, this massive expansion means licensed taxi drivers across 21 new counties can now accept pre-booked and on-demand trips through the app. This meets a growing demand for flexible transport outside major cities, especially in areas with limited public transit connections.

Supporting drivers nationwide

This launch also opens the Bolt platform to thousands of licensed taxi drivers across the country.

To help the partners maximise their take-home pay, drivers in the newly launched counties will benefit from a special 5% launch commission, enabling them to keep more of their earnings during the initial rollout phase. As always, Bolt operates strictly within Ireland’s national transport framework, ensuring drivers stay fully compliant with the local regulations.
