What Bolt Drive pricing options can I choose from?

Depending on your location, there may be 1, 2, or 3 Bolt Drive pricing options available:

Hourly and daily prepaid tariffs or packages;
A fixed price for suggested route;
Pay-as-you-go pricing.

Hourly and daily rental tariffs or packages

This is the newest addition to our pricing options — prepaid hourly and daily rental packages. The price is based on your trip’s distance (from 0 to 2000 km) and duration (from 1 hour to 1 week).

This prepaid pricing option is ideal for longer trips and lets you choose the package that best fits your lifestyle and budget!

Fixed price for suggested route

The fixed or upfront price is the final cost of your Bolt Drive trip from your location to your chosen destination.

After you add a destination (or nearby parking zone), the Bolt Drive upfront pricing feature calculates the price for the suggested route shown on the map in the Bolt app for car models near you.

The great thing about this option is that the price is locked in once you reserve a vehicle. And, as always, fuel, parking, and insurance are included!

Please note, that if your trip changes or deviates significantly from the original route or destination, we’ll charge you the extra time and distance separately.

Pay-as-you-go

Pay-as-you-go is the default Bolt Drive pricing option. Choose pay-as-you-go when you don’t know where the road will take you or how many stops you’ll make.

Simply reserve your vehicle of choice in the Bolt app and start your trip. The app will then calculate the price automatically based on your ride duration and the car model.

Bolt Drive rental package FAQs

What if I end a trip earlier than my selected duration?

The remaining balance of your package is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be otherwise compensated.

What if a trip takes longer than my selected duration?

If your trip exceeds the selected duration/distance package, the app recalculates the additional time and distance based on the standard rates.

Can I modify my package during an active trip?

No. We don’t currently support modifying a package’s chosen time and distance. But stay tuned for updates!

What are the fuel, parking, and insurance costs?

Parking, fuel, and insurance are all included in your package. There are zero hidden costs — you pay the final price shown in the app.

Bolt’s on a mission to make cities for people, not cars. That’s why we encourage people to give up their personal vehicles and use shared mobility.

If you’re ready to make the change, leave your car keys at home the next time you need to go somewhere.

Instead, use more sustainable micromobility vehicles for shorter trips and car-sharing or ride-hailing for longer ones.
