Urban events can bring cities to a standstill. Public transport systems and roads can often be overwhelmed with so many people trying to get from A to B simultaneously.
But it’s an issue Bolt can help with. Our e-scooters offer a more sustainable alternative to cars. They reduce traffic congestion, noise, and air pollution and complement public transport — closing the gap between venues and public transport stops.
This blog post will look at how we can help cities during large events by providing micromobility vehicles for attendees and helping move crowds quickly and safely.
In support of the city of Düsseldorf, we teamed up with the professional German ice hockey team, Düsseldorfer EG, to provide an eco-friendly solution for travel to and from their matches.
Düsseldorfer EG aligns itself with the UN’s sustainable development goals and sets an example that other clubs and organisations can follow.
With a total capacity of 13,400 at their stadium (the ISS Dome), Bolt e-scooters can have a significant environmental impact by replacing car trips to and from the venue.

In 2022, we also teamed up with the Bavarian football club, FC Nürnberg (FCN).
The club’s home, the Max Morlock Stadium in Nuremberg, is one of the few stadiums in Germany that’s received the renowned EMAS certification to evaluate, report, and improve their environmental performance.
By providing a large-scale mobility solution at FCN games, we wanted to show their fans how small sustainable changes — like trading four wheels for two — can make an enormous difference, both at the individual and community levels!

At Bolt, we’re always excited to support our home country! So as Estonia gathered for the largest event of last year — Rammstein’s concert in Tallinn — we did too.
To make the concert experience more convenient for locals and visitors alike, we provided electric scooters that attendees could use to get to and from the venue safely.
Rammstein fans could quickly and conveniently reach the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds venue, which has a maximum capacity of 75,000.
This is another excellent example of how e-scooters help complement city public transport systems and reduce traffic congestion and air and noise pollution.
To further improve e-scooter adoption, our central goal, in addition to partnerships and relationships with cities, is to enhance micromobility safety.
To this end, we’ve developed several industry-leading functions. These include an exclusive tandem-riding prevention system, a drunk driving test, a safety toolkit, and more.
Together with our partner Deutsche Verkehrswaft (DVW), a German organisation dedicated to road safety, we’ve been organising scooter safety events with their local divisions across Germany.
As a part of our collaboration with FCN and DEG, we also organised and performed safety training before their first games.
