Indirect Tax Manager
We are looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance Manager who will support the on-going business activities of the entire Bolt organization (50+ countries) as well as the business expansion in a compliant manner.

About the role
Bolt's Indirect Tax Function is growing towards all aspects of Indirect Tax with a focus on optimizing our Indirect Tax set-up for each country where we do business ensuring that the cost of Indirect Tax on our P&L is minimized while always compliant.
Central tax team is coping with challenging geo expansion and will implement tax compliance into new markets.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Tax Compliance: Prepare, submit, and ensure compliance for VAT, ESL, Intrastat, and other indirect taxes while maintaining a compliance calendar and proper documentation.
Process Improvement: automate workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance ERP systems to streamline tax operations and stabilize processes.
Tax Forecasting and Controls: handle VAT cash forecasts, prepare journal entries, validate ledgers, and perform control framework activities for indirect taxes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: support Finance, Procurement, and IT teams with tax logic setup and provide advice and training on VAT processes.
Audit Support: assist with VAT audits, internal/external audits, and regulatory inquiries by preparing required documentation and analysis.
Regulatory Updates and Project Assistance: stay updated on tax law changes, contribute to global tax audits, and support additional compliance tasks and projects as assigned.

What we expect
About you:

You have a relevant Masters degree with 7+ years of relevant tax experience, including in public accounting and a publicly listed company
You have strong knowledge of Indirect Tax technology, to support standardization and centralization.
You have good communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex matters with simplicity and clarity to non-experts across the company.
You have excellent knowledge of tax accounting and financial statement disclosures for taxes.
You have the ability to research and communicate complex technical tax issues clearly to non-tax team members and work effectively across functional teams and senior leadership, covey complex matters with simplicity.
You have effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills.
